I heart Solar

So I'm still reading lots and lots of Valiant comics these days. It's all fine, fine reading. Something I didn't know when I started was that every comic from the publisher takes place in a shared universe, but unlike the DCU and the Marvel U every book was intended from the start to occupy the same universe rather than all being crammed together down the road. They're fighting these aliens, it's pretty interesting. But who's my favorite hero of the Valiant U? Well, they're all good, but without a doubt it'd have to be Solar, Man of the Atom
His costume is cool looking, he has crazy atomic borderline-omnipotent powers (think Dr. Manhattan) that he's struggling to comprehend and get used to, and his adventures are written with and attention to realism unusual in 'American superhero' comics. Solar himself is a comic book fan as well as a scientist and he quickly realizes that most of the exploits of his fictional heroes aren't physically sound and using his powers without thinking can cause frightening problems in the real world. It's pretty shweet.
Today's super mega hippy hypie album is Black Noise by Pantha du Prince. Pantha is a German guy who, if this album is anything to judge his body of work by, makes sparse, airy techno beats for all to enjoy. I'm not really that into minimal techno personally so a lot of this was really forgettable to me. I don't recommend listening to this album while doing something else, unless you give it your full attention it the music will evaporate before it reaches your ears. I give it a 6/10. I can't fairly give it lower than that because this is a genre I don't have an interest in to begin with, what was I really expecting? Listen to the video below though, you might dig this.
On an unrelated note, Flannery is hot:
Pokemon fans, iyo, who was the hottest gym leader ever?
