I only saw a bit of today's games so I can't really review them. Looks like Uruguay pretty thoroughly stomped the host nation, pretty interesting. Plus, Spain LOST! They LOST! The favorites have performed really poorly in their first games overall though (except Germany and Netherlands), so deep down, no one was surprised. But still, damn. Somebody I know online is playing through Pokemon Emerald, which has inspired me to get out my GBA and finally beat Sapphire. Over the past few days I've been cramming in lots of Poke-play and now I finally have all 8 badges. I'm ready to go in there and beat the Elite Four into a pulpy smear. Actually it probably won't work like that since my team is definitely a lot weaker in this game than my teams in Red and Silver. So I'm still reading lots and lots of Valiant comics these days. It's all fine, fine reading.
