    My little brother is sorta agreeing with you. He says the "I am your father" thing got overused here (at least by younger people in certain circles) around 1999, when I had some other stuff on my mind and was not paying attention.

    Me, I'm in the mood now, since we have a new shop in Helsinki that sells Star Wars vintage stuff. Just a couple of days ago I had a chat with one of the guys working there, and we reminisced the late eighties together. He called that era "The Gap" -- a time when, at least in Europe, Star Wars existed in dedicated fans' minds only. In other words, "I am your father" would have been called either plain weird ("The hell are you talking about?") or corny for being so obscure ("You must rilly like science fiction, eh?"). Let's say I was aiming at the latter.

    It is a bit hard for me to grasp that the world around has changed this much. Similar things have happened to "The Lord of the Rings", for obvious reasons.

    Oh, and of course I have no frickin' idea what knockknock is. Sauce plz.

    The way it's butchered on here sometimes, the BBC would have a fit. They've had a go at MegaTokyo for having a hand in the dumbing down of the language, what would they do if they saw a forum?
