i don't blame you, just a bit hypocritical.
I remember distincly a couple of years ago, i offered to upload anime here. and i have like 600 series, so it would've helped.
Yet y'all said it was a bad idea and afraid about being discovered, since it is illegal.

That was when we still had visitors, right? Makes us a bigger target, I guess. Also this was a last-ditch attempt to get more people to join; we wouldn't have needed this impetus a couple of years ago.

Well, I could. But I believe the line "Someone should..." pretty much counted myself out.

DCC Bots aren't too hard to run.

The nice thing about a DCC Bot on IRC is that it's rather easy to set up and run.
You don't need anything dedicated... And most broadband modems would be plenty to handle a few uploads.
But yes, IDEALLY it would be best for someone to be able to have their computer on all the time, since if the computer is offline, so is the bot.

Yeah, DCC is mostly for uploading original content like fansubbers do... But it's not unheard of to do what I'm suggesting. =P
