    Anime Streaming Sites

Since the idea of having a DDL Section hasn't caught on, how about sharing sites where you can watch old anime, and the new series which come out?

I'll share one place I check up on when I can:

    Anime Dreaming

They stream the anime you all know and love for free AFAIK.

This is more of a thread-worthy topic than a subforum-worthy one.

I use www.crunchyroll.com, but I'm sure you all know that one.

they ran Strike Witches for a time, and I watched my first ep on there. Took far too long though, so I downloaded them from IRC and can now watch them all offline, as it should be, without knackering my bandwidth.

I am fully in favour of direct downloads

I don't see the problem with Direct Downloads, per se.... but not everyone has the same opinion.

Only people with no hard drive space prefer streams, surely? Worse quality, ads, occasionally stop to load...

That's what External Hard Drives are for, Betong. I have a 1TB one for my own use, and I got it fairly cheap.

I said people with no hard drive space, not people with small internal hard drives. My 250gb external is totally full, and I can't afford a bigger one.

The 1TB HD cost me $100 +tax and shipping, Donk. It's an Iomega I got at Amazon.

Anyway, I'm pretty choosy as to the anime I download and store on it as it is.

I have under £100 left to last me for the next 5 weeks. Do you think I could afford £60+ on a hard drive?

yes. Archiving your files so you can nab more anime to watch is far more important than travel costs and food. Water's free from the sky, you can catch and kill loaves of bread from shops if you're fast enough. Go the direct route!

People have done worse than that, regarding anime/manga-grabbing situations. Besides, direct downloading solves that whole crippling bandwidth problem for those on a meter.

But of course, I get 2-3 MB/s on this cable modem connection, and I don't pay for bandwidth, so..... yeah.
