Thread: Love Hina Advance

Well guys!
I found some good stuff here!

I have now rounded up everything needed to have a WORKING, ENGLISH, version of Love Hina Advanced!

All those in search, rejoice! XD

Everything but the rom, is hosted on MY site, so its in safe hands...
I also have the rom, incase any problems happen with where its at now.

If people have problems with bandwith running out at my site, please let me know (when it becomes excessive), and I may create some more mirrors and such. XD

i just wanted to ask that how do you guys patch the game? i did it but i can't play it...and does that patching program thing work for every thing, beacuse i got a evangelion game in japanese...

As for the patching...
Well... I cant really remember.. So Im gonna try and see if what I remember is correct...

First, you gotta get and install the program, IPSXP (its a program to affix IPS [patch] files to Roms. Then, once you do that, run the program, and you should get prompted to browse for the patch file, and the rom file.
Point it to the files, then tell it to patch.
It will probally ask you if you wanna back up the rom.
Do this only if you wanna keep the original Japanese for the hell of it.
It will over write it with the english text.
That SHOULD work...
If not... Lemme know, and Ill screw around with it and figure it out again. XD
Oh, and I think the prog will work for patching any roms...
You just gotta find a patch file for it. (Look for Rom Translating sites.) and the original game rom.
Then I think the prog will patch it.

nope...didn't work...now i couldn' even play my gba emulaor...

Works fine for me, just the way Ryo said... Oh, and I like the game so far... Thought it would suck at first, but it's pretty fun! And the changes in the storyline are actually not horrendous!

Firist off, thanks a lot for finding the game!
I played around with the patch and got it to work. Here is how.
1. Make sure you installed the IPS-XP program and download the patch.
2. Unzip the patch. There will be two patches. They are just two different font styles. Read the TEXT that is also in the patch folder to find out which you want to use.
3. Select the patch you want to use and copy it.
4. Open up the folder with the Love Hina GBA game and paste the patch file there.
5. Go to windows start menue and open up your programs, and select the ips XP folder then choose the ips XP 1.11.2600 program.
6. When that starts up, follow the three easy steps to patch the game. If the GBA copy of Love Hina doesn't show up when you have to choose the game to apply the patch to, click View All Files in the option bar at the bottom.
7. Back the game up if you want to keep the Japanese version.
8. Open the GBA player and play the Love Hina game as normal and the english writing will appear.

i down loaded one with the pach before, but it got curruupted, i tryed to download it again but it wouldn't let me...but i figured it out...damn lost all the data before...

Hi, I have a question: what kind of game is LH Advance?

Does the word "Advance" give you a clue? XD

Well, I recognize it in conjunction with the term 'gameboy', but I never had one of those. Besides, a LH platform game seems ... excessively silly, and not worth much hype.

So, once again: what is this game about?

It's a cheapo dating-sim-wannabe. Fun the first time you play it (takes under an hour :/) but gets boring then.
