You are all not gonna like how eva goes berserk now...in the rebuild of evangelion.
Its cool...yet very weird since they go through some sort of mutation.

A little over a week ago I finally finished watching all of season 1 and the movie (End Of...).


Other than the depressing state of that particular world, I was enjoying it. Giant techno-organic mechas... extraterrestrial beings bent on the destruction of the human race to rejoin their progenitor.... Rei and Asuka in skin-tight plugsuits. I was happy up until the story went offsides towards the end (both the season one series, the manga, and that mind**** of a movie).


Still, overall enjoyable I thought.

the plugsuits were entirely necessary in their design. I genuinely don't see how NERV could have got that volume of feedback they did from any other design. The fact they vacuum-form to the wearer's body is merely a matter of expediency to allow the pilots to scramble if they need to.

I'd like to watch the new movies, selo, but I've not searched 'em out yet. They available online somewhere?

I watched the original 'movies' and they were sometimes more of a mindfsck than the series itself

I've watched the series, the movies, the rebuild (what is out yet, anyway) and the manga, because you can't watch the series and not check other media forms of it out. There are so many questions left after the series is over, I can't see how people aren't more pressured to watch EoE. It explained a lot, rather than the typical Gainax ending of the original series. I liked the manga, too -- I enjoyed seeing the differences in scenarios, character relations and ending. It's good, so many different takes on it.

All in all, great series, it deserves all the hype it gets IMO.

Btw, sharing my EVA fanart collection if anyone is interested. o_o

I've fallen for Asuka much more over time, though I'm still a Rei-chan fan My favourite episode was when Shinji first visits Rei's apartment after school...

This was my second anime/manga. Right after the good ol' DBZ
oddly enough it's still my #1 fav! You just can't beat the intensity of the story. Manga version is much better though. More dark and more realistic in how things actually go.
Now the movie >O TWAZ THE SHIT!!
