Refocus -- New Headers?

I think creating new header images could be a good project for a refocusing AnimeB.

I suggest changing the default skin's header image every six months.

Each header image would feature seven manga/anime/visual novel/light novel characters: one from LH (or A.I. Love You) and one from Negima (or "Ground Defense Force! Mao-chan"), to pay respect to the traditions of the board; one from a "new" series, one from a running "older" series, one from a classic whose run has ended, one from a visual novel, and one extraordinarily popular from any category.

Compiling this group of seven twice a year would involve organizing votings, and I know AnimeBees are into that. I am imagining a two-round vote with board members running campaigns for their favorites between the rounds.

And of course somebody with basic graphics editing skills would be needed to actually compose the group image.

Feel free to develop the idea further.

There's already a few new headers been made. I'll get around to testing them in the new skin when I sober up, hopefully.

I've made one already and am thinking of making a couple more, if we haven't enough. I know Betong has given a couple as well. If anyone has any suggestions of series, or better yet, a HQ image I can work with that you can PM me, it would be helpful as I'm fresh out of ideas.

New theme, pepethetic. I've got a blue one done, and I'm yet to work up the motivation for a red variant. The new way vbulletin deals with styles is a god damn nightmare.

That being said, I'm sure the theme will hit the main site sooner or later.

I like the idea of a group vote on characters to include, and I've no objections to several versions of each banner being made if people want to put in the time.

The way the theme is currently being redeveloped may not suit a character banner, but others might. We'll see how our skin mod gets on with grappling the vB code Thanks for the theme shots, FB!

Just to let everyone know, there are a couple more banners, as of my last check. The one in there now is done by Chey, who was lovely enough to make up for my laziness and total inability to make any image that contains more than 2 colours.

Betong made another banner, which I've yet to upload because I'm an enormous tool and have been busy punishing my liver since exam results came through.

Just thought I'd let you hurp durps know, banner submissions are still open. Make it something along the sort of size and layout as these:

Ignore the fact the banners in that rotation are different sizes. The skin seems to ignore what I told it to do and just makes them fit anyway. Just aim for a size of roughly 1,280px × 187px

Also, red variant is on hold until I have less to do and am in a brighter mood. Just had to spend £200+ on god damn textbooks.
