Just Another Guide To Role-Playing
Greetings! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Jen, though most people call me Dischord. I'm going to be your friendly (or sometimes not so friendly) guide into the world of role-playing. I've been role-playing since I was 11 years old, and have played most roles you can imagine, and a few you probably wouldn't want to, either.
Now, you may ask yourself why, since I'm so new to animeb, do I think I'm even remotely qualified to write a guide based on role-playing? Well, it comes from a lot of years of practice, and the willingness to admit that I haven't always been as good as I am now. My first character was a 'Mary Sue', who, though she took hits and even died, constantly came back. It took me a lot of time to get past that stage, and to let her just die like she should have in the beginning. Strangely enough, people liked her well enough that I had to bring her back - she's rarely played now, however.
It took me quite a bit of time to get past that fine line of where a 'Sue' begins and ends, but anything is possible if you practice, and put your mind to it. And so, after so many years of role-playing, I decided to share what I've learned, with others.
