Not quite... Look carefully at his pose. His right foot is forward... That turns his body to the left side, making him look a bit wider... On TOP of that, it pulls it forward, but his sholders are arched backward, making him go out, then pull back in. Besides THAT... the shoulders are turned to the left while the hips are turned to the right... so it gives the illusion that he's almost standing straight up with a big gut...
...but he's really not.
It's a MAGNIFICIENT pose!
