I'd bloody well hope so seeing as my first name was Tohru Miyahara. Changed when I came to England to Jonathan Bradshaw by my adoptive parents, and I can't write that in Japanese as there are no characters for a few of those sylables. Also, I don't have the Japanese language pack installed on this PC.
