And so you should. I'm always on at users of our office email system to delete, or at least archive their mail to keep it under control. One guy does this and still a 500MB email storage space on the server... he's already filled up two pst files...at the moment including archive files he has 4.45GB of email somewhere on the network!

There's this nifty little archive feature, where you can download all your PMs to CSV or text file if you want to keep 'em. I should really use that!
