Asagiri no Miko (also known as Shrine of the Morning Mist) is a anime/manga series consisting of five (5) manga volumes and 26 anime episodes, each of which were about 12 minutes in length. The manga ran its original run March 2000 – August 2007.

"It tells the story of Yuzu Hieda, a high school freshman and one of three sisters, all of whom are miko at the local Shinto shrine. When her childhood love returns, it is discovered that dark gods have a great interest in him and Yuzu is recruited to gather fellow female students into a "Miko Council" to fight off a full-scale mystic assault."

Anyone heard of it? I've never seen anyone talking about it so I'm not sure how popular/well know it is.

I've greatly enjoyed it, though I've only read the first two volumes of the manga. What probably attracted me to it most is that it delved into the Shinto religion, which fascinates me. But then again... I do have a miko fetish so that could have played a part in my buying it .

Anyway, who's read it and what's your take on it?

Also, anyone know if volume five (5) has been released in America yet? Everywhere I look it only lists volumes one (1) through four (4).

No one? No one has heard of this series? WTF is wrong with you fools?! Who doesn't like miko's?! You people could at least view the thread! I only see one view listed for it, and that's more than likely me
