Please Teacher is definitely worth checking out. It's short and sweet: 13 episodes total. Well, the last episode is basically a fun extra thing added that isn't a part of main story. Each episode is packed with good material and I love it.

I'm gonna stick with the title die-hard-fans (...that so called otaku stuff) "Love Hina" and "Azumanga Daioh". Naruto? I just enjoy watching it... and Bleach too. Onegai Teacher/ Sensei... seriously... the first anime that encourage me to watch "Love Hina" (comedy romance genre). How about Onegai Twin...? if I like watching Onegai Teacher... Yes!! I like it to especially when Mizuho-sensei come back on the screen. ~wuhoo  and Onodera Karen too (her just like Shinobu, with innocent looking face and sweet voice).

I generally don't watch mainstream anime because they are often a dissapointment overtime. Once the anime have caught up with the manga, stall tactic is emploint to delay and buy time for the anime. That is when you get filler episodes with flashbacks and loads of talking.
Much like Slam Dumk, Naruto and Iniatial D did. So, I avoided Naruto and Bleach. Haibane Renmei is a great anime with a powerful story to tell. It has found a nitch market for viewers who is looking for more then just a pretty face and cool fight screne in anime. The creator of Haibane Renmei has several of his work animated and never as a mainstream anime because he only allow animation only after his work is completed. Thus there is never a sense of rushed production or needs for filler episodes, allowing the story to be told without interupt. If you like Yoshitoshi Abe's Haibane Renmei, I recommend you watch Ouji's Kita He ~Diamond Dust~.
