Radio popularity?
Is it just me or does it seem that the radio is losing popularity? i mean the average i see on the radio listening is 0-3 which is not much of a audience!

i sometimes listen to it, but if its not my kind of music, i turn on my own ^^

My show got 9 listeners, so I don't know what you're on about
 Maybe it's just that most people suck, and I rule. That and Momo gets alot of listeners too  We're popular. You're not. Suck it up.The shows where people talk alot, sound good, and are enjoyable to listen to get alot of listeners. It also depends on the kind of music you play. I don't know if anyone likes my music, but I know they love hearing me talk between tracks =D

Broadcast when many people are on...
Sometimes I get 0 listeners, sometimes I get 4.. Really depends on the amount of members on... It also may depend on the songs you play... And Tyroki, stop your arrogance!  I remember a few times when Momo got no listeners...

it is just a point that taking time to prepare, and to run in between song commentary etc is pointless with no listeners.....
anyway i will be giving my self a try one again in my next show!

I usually get 2-4 listeners, but haven't done for very long and still learning the ropes, the big point is I think some shows are really enjoyable, and it really adds if you talk between the songs, it also helps to spread the word a bit, I think momo also tells people about her show at kawaii heaven and on the irc channel she's on so she attracts a lot of non-animebers while most people are really depended on how many animebers are on...

I go by whoever wants to listen
And I usually get a good 6+ listeners 4 when alot suddenly need to turn off for some reason, but soon get the numbers back.

The highest I've ever gotten was.......15? lowest would have to be....0 XD It happens. The time differences make things hard for people to tune in.

It's all bout a few simeple things.
Timezone either cluster******* us Songs we play aren't like (less of a complaint) Little interaction from DJs (especially those without mics) I average at 1-3 listeners every time I'm on my official slot, but 3-4 when I just pick up the reidio. Radio I mean. Songs we play will not appeal to everyone who tune in. (Like me and my damn Sinatra closing songs.) And of course, in my case, I have no mic, meaning I can't go out there and grab their attention like Rei, Ty, and all others who do. But I still like doing it.

I am not much for commentary. Most times when I fill in I have few to no listeners. That does not bother me though as I usually queue up an hours worth of music and then go off to surf the web. For myself, I just listen to my tunes, and let others listen in. Tis all good.

a tailing off was to be expected. Initial take-up and reaction was good, but there usually is huge enthusiasm when something new catches on. Now it's not so new, maybe it loses some appeal?
 Of course, some people may target for their favourite DJ, too ^_^ and if your time slot is when all the Americans are asleep, you'll not get a great audience, generally ^_^ All these things should be taken into consideration. Don't do yourself down just because you get 0 listeners. It's there as a choice if people want to listen
