Yeah, I decided to edit Ryu.. Made him into Scorpion from Mortal Kombat... Mainly because I was just curious how it would turn out.

Paint is a good substiute for PhotoShop if you can't afford it, since its a very versatile program that comes free with every Windows system.

I like the way it turned out, Kei.. interesting that you just did this as a diversion...

Actually, I hate Photoshop with a passion. I'm a loyal fan of Jasc's Paintshop Pro. But whenever I am going to make pixel art (or edit something) I prefer to work with Paint for most of my things. For simple projects, Paint is the best way to go hands down. Its fast and simple to use for pixel art.


hinarei: Yah, I tried to make my own Scorpion sprite in a fighting stance, but I still haven't mastered stances at all. So, I just decided that an edit of Ryu would be the way to go.. A lot of whats on Ryu now I made myself anyway..

Paint is all about pixel art anyway, its what it was made for. You can't easily get a better program. I have Paint (obviously), Photoshop and PaintShop on my machine, but I don't get that much use out of them, my brother's the artsy one..

Keep at the stances, keep practising those, and it'll all come good eventually. I like it! Any plans for any other characters?

I have no idea if I will edit any other sprites. I may if I can think of any..
