First try at drawing Shinobu
HEY! I drew a Shinobu Piccy and I think it came out pretty good for my first try at her. What do you guys think?

better than I could do right now, once time I was drawing wolverine from an old card and got the top perfect but his legs looked like twigs...go figure...

Yea... that is really good...... Much better than i could draw her...... I can't draw anime ppl
 actually come to think of it i can't draw humans at all

Why doesnt anyone give constructive critisizm?
Well... Nero critisized... but it wasnt so constructive... =Þ Anyway... before I start getting all Art Nazi on you... Let me first state... That you've done an AMAZING Job! ESPECIALLY for a first time of trying to draw Shinobu. Have you drawn much else before this? And for how long? Ok... So lets see what's wrong. Suprisingly, there isnt TOO much for me to nitpick at. ^_^;;; The face. It's a little akward. Maybe too round? The eyes and mouth seem a bit out of place on the face. Try using some guidelines to more realistically place them where they should be. Else they wind up looking a bit akward. Dont worry though, it's hard, and I still have issues with that. T__T The shoulders. Be sure to pay careful attention to your anatomy. It's not SO bad because of the way the clothes are, but still a tad akward. The back of her neck area... where it is supposed to slant to where the shoulder is... It's a bit too high. So, it looks out of place, possibly leading to give her a hunched back Quazimoto appearance? Just without the hump. XD Also, they seem a bit too ridged. Being a small girl, her shoulders should slope a bit more. Because of the pose, it's not bad, but again, be careful. You dun want Man-Shinobu, do you? O___o Hips/Legs. Here's where the main problem is. First off, the hips arent centered in proportion to her torso. It looks to be set back... Like she had some kind of massive crook in her spine around the mid region, or something. Remember that the hips should be in the middle, and directly under the upper body area. Also, the hips should ALMOST be as wide as the shoulders. Not quite, but just about. Make sure the leg and hip area isnt signifigantly smaller in proportion to the torso... Else you get some weird pigmey looking thing. =Þ All that aside... Marvelous work! With some improvements... You'll be INCREDIBLY good! Your coloring is nice too... and especially your detail on the clothes and everything. I love it! What kind of reference did you use for this picture, also? Any pictures? Anime/Manga, etc? Or did it come completely off the top of your head? O__o

Well Ryo I was drawing for a while since 5th grade (I'm in 7th now) the Shinobu drawing you see is not my best. I'll make a thread with just my Art work and you can take a look at some of my better art. Also I did use a pic to look at but I drew the lower part of her body on my own. thanks for the comments guys!

What in the HELL is THAT?! Scrap it quickly, and be done with it. Try again until it's flawless -.- MOVE MOVE MOVE!!! Then do Kaolla Suu and Motoko together, or be burned at the stake. NOW! Bah -.-

Well then, HOLY CRAP, if you can draw this good in 7th grade, then you'll be an awesome artist in the near future! I SMELL TALENT!!! And this isn't one of ur best? It still looks good. But soon, you will realize you won't need to do that because ur be too good!!!

You're... in 7th grade? Drawing since the 5th?
HOLY CRAP! Back then... I was wallowing in shoddy stick figures. XD That's amazing! ^__^ Anyway... I started somewhere in 11th grade... Been drawing ever since. (Like, 4 years now?) Yet... I still suck ass... But with time and patience (and ALOT of practice) comes improvement. Just keep working at it, and you will be incredible! Commie... Maybe you dont draw like that... But you can still easily spot things that look abnormal, cant you? You dont nessicarily have to be a good artist to critisize. You just have to know anatomy... and probably watch enough anime to know what things should look like. XD Tyroki... Bad mood? Well, that's apparent. Dun let it affect you here though. I wont tolerate your flaming! XD But I do second the demand for a Suu/Motoko piccy. ^____^ Zero, it's one thing to reference... and another to visually trace. XD I used to do it alot. Look at a picture, and copy it. But I've been finally growing out of that, and only using reference to get the details of a character down (hair, eyes mostly... Maybe clothes. O__o).
