How to use Torrents
I have decided to make a guide on how to use torrents with a torrent client, most complain it is to difficult and some think its to slow, well not if you know how to use it ^^
To begin you must first download a torrent program, my favorite would be utorrent. It can be found here www.utorrent.com After the program is installed you should have a look here http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php read EVERYTHING. After that read EVERYTHING here http://www.utorrent.com/guides.php once everything is read and understood you can use and download torrents. Rather then tell you to read what needs to be read to know how to use it im going to give you a few tips. 1. seeders are needed to download period, if there are no seeders the torrent will not work, also the more seeders the faster downloading will be. 2. leechers are people who are downloading just as you are, the more the slower for every one higher then the number of seeders. 3. right clicking a torrent in utorrent and hovering over bandwith then increasing that slows your computer but makes the downloading faster. 4. Also right clicking and clicking update tracker will refresh it and usually make it faster, press play and this simultaniously. 5. make sure the top priority is at number one on the list, it gives it its top priority and thus will have faster downloading speeds. 6. on the bottom of the program click file, a list of the files beign downloaded from the torrent will be show, right click what is your to priority there and set it as high, then highlight and right click the others and say dotn download, they will not download until you set it back to low, medium, or high. Well I hope this helped ![]() |
