Private Message Abuse and Advertisements

Note to all members:

We would like to make it known that recently, the private message system has been used to spam advertisements for other sites, including other community forums, harassing unsuspecting members with random messages.

A number of people have reported this abuse.

If you have received similar PMs, please do let the staff know.

We would like spammers to be aware that spamming advertisements and harassing members by any means on this forum, either posts or PMs, is punishable within the rules.

No, the buddhism ones are just linkspammers. Still, report them too.

Yups. Private messages are private, and we would like members to inform us if they have any problems through PM

Yeah, think I found a feature where you can report PMs, same as reporting posts. I'll get onto style about it some time.
