Now you must understand, I'm all for war, the ScBr are just waiting for another chance to go on a language-war crusade, so that's not it, I just don't want to be scolded by people who have apparently lost their rational sense this time. If you want war, you can have it But this time if people act like that again, it's gonna be a war on them =D YEAH!
No seriously, if shit like this is allowed to be said again without action being taken, I'm gonna take action myself.

War is hell, and this time can we please keep shit like that out of it?

Thank you for that warning, I will make sure I keep that in mind. It the case of your example however when I read the first post of the thread I thought "I swear this will be taken out of context". I do get your point.

I have no problem if action needs to be taken if it starts to get out of hand. I will just hope for the best for what I really want is competition and not flaming wars.

Now, I have seen that the Shinobu Brigade wanted to campaign against my brigade, do not know how serious they were about it, but that would be a start.
I think that is fine as well. I think the Motoko brigade can be good rival tackle instead of the natural option which is the Naru brigade.

We will keep that in mind. I am happy to see that you don't mind.

My main concern at the moment is, the board barely has as many really active Love Hina fans as there are Love Hina brigades. The critical mass to start with might be too low to create rivalry.

I am extremely sorry to say this, and this is the main reason I presented the idea of an LH vs. Negima fan war in one of my PMs, Mandrake.

***

Silæs, I do not believe that wars between fan brigades would lead to accusations of racism or other such kinds of hate talk. An outbreak of simple personal quarrels would be more probable. I think the problem with the language wars arises from cultural differences.

That is something I do understand but not much can done. To suggest a merger between all brigades of each series is a very unpopular idea.

As for the very small number of active members, I dont think it will be too much of a problem as long each brigade has a minimun of two active members helping along. Plus, at the pace we are going, we might even lose those valuable active members too.

As you said, its all about staying positive.

Well though i had preferred that an appointed member would replace Eva, finding those who outrank the active members proved enough of a challenge, as such if bill feels he is able to re-order the brigade, i have no issues with it.

I don't want to seem like I'm stepping out though but if a leader of the GHK's rival is the only candidate, i feel i should volunteer, if those i recommended they couldn't or shouldn't. (Rival, not enemy)

This is brigade war we are discussing though. Fan created rivalry can take place as well, however a proper war should be in competition and off site confrontation.
Offsite meaning, on boards other than the brigade, e.g. the sneak attacks from Naru brigade members i found when analyzing the Motoko brigade history.

hinarei has much to be proud of

Surely, any war threads should be confined to the Brigades? That's what they were created for, after all

If theres a member of the GHK thats a bit more active then myself, that wants to take over leadership, I'm more than happy to step aside. Its all up in the air right now.

☼Pepe☼ is a glorious beacon of light

I'm all about reviving the brigades but...

These rivalries, honestly, are not the way to get it back

I mean, what is an army if it has no troops?
Brigades these days have low activity as it is. Therefore, what we should focus on for now is getting back activity in brigades; encouraging members to post more, bringing in more people to join and actually participate, and so on.

its an interesting concept, Pepe Perhaps Mandrake's idea has legs, but we'll need people in and posting first. I'll agree on that point.

But maybe this will bring people in?

Mandrake and I were senior staff members of a huge Love Hina Club years back, back then it was extremely popular, now its lost a lot of its glamor...that will be our wall we need to get around. Finding those hardcore Love Hina fans that still roam around out there, bringing those people in.

HIPHOPMAn can only hope to improve
this place used to be very popular before the riot, dozens of members active at any one time, then it happened and now we have just a few members active at any one time.

why would they come here?

the brigades are dead for a reason. they're dead because people have left.

Yes, bill, that's the problem we're faced with nabbing people who are still properly interested in Love Hina (it's ten years old now...) and Negima. Negima's still charging aheaad, with new chapters being released, so I would assume that's got a bit better chance

Dear God, have you ever wondered, what would happen, if you just posted in the brigades?
