Your Notifications, lost?
Might I suggest you bring back this function? It seems to be gone, again, replaced by only "Private Messages"
The "Your Notifications" function was far more useful as it was versatile in showing all notifications necessary, such as profile comments, friend requests, private messages, ETC. What made this function the most useful is that it showed all of these things and more with the numerous requests, PM's etc, at the same time despite accumulations. Each option could then be clicked to go to the appropriate page. Very useful. Please bring it back.

Yeah I agree too, i liked the "My Notifications" things better as well. But i do believe it still pops up when you actually have some new notifications

yes, Ty... it still works (I've got two unread PMs, and it shows 'em).
So... I guess that's job done  Wait til you get new messages!  (as a side note, I think most of the options you mention can be accessed through the Quick Links drop-down too)...

Actually, the "Your Notifications" thing was there even without new PM's.
Bring it back please. Merely having "Private Messages" there without the Your Notifications menu isn't as useful  Also, Quick Links didn't tell you the amount of unchecked notifications you have.

Hmm? Did you decide it wasn't useful? Which it really was?
Unless you got alot of complaints, which we would then understand as a reason for why you got rid of it, there was no point to its removal.

As both myself and selo have already said, it only comes up if you have unread/new notifications. Always has, and probably, while the function's there, always will.

Hmm... Really? As I have already said, I had no new notifications the other day at it was still there. Would it not be more useful as a permanent thing rather than a temporary one, as it over-rides the Private Messages link with the Your Notifications menu, thus making the Private Messages link alone really obsolete?

maybe it would be, but this is default vB behaviour for this menu. You had no notifications the other day? You sure?

I'm very sure. It hasn't been until within the past day that it's decided to simply be the "Private Message" link. For a few days there, I had no notifications but still had it. A glitch perhaps? But a good glitch.
Hmm. Well. Defaults can be changed. You should make it permanent if that is the case. And if you can't, see if Style can.

it's always been this way. At least it has in my experience. Several other sites I've checked say the same thing, that this is only displayed if you have an unread notification.
Sadly, I don't know of anywhere to get support on this, as you generally need a customer number to get support on vB.

Just gonna say... I noticed this too.
If you have anything NEW, the Notifications menu is there. Convient if you have multiple new things... (Friend Requests, Profile Messages, PMs, etc) But after you check them all, it turns just into the standard PM link. I don't mind this... The dropdown menu is nice for showing you what's new... But since I'm a heavy tabs user, it annoys me because I cant launch the items in a new tab. >.< Besides, anything new like that shows up in your User CP anyhow. =P
