It says that you may follow the rules and waste your time by making more than one account and looking like a MAJOR GEEK!

Forever a Legend will become famous soon enough
When we had points, we could be fined.

For example, I have 600 points. BC wants to fine me for uh.. posting porn? 300 points are to be taken away.

I quickly make a new account and transfer my points there. Now BC can't fine me for 300 points, but he WILL fine the other account.

Workaround? Donate to other people around 50 or so points per person and ask them to keep it for safekeeping, taking 25% of the points as payment o_O

Never tried it tho. Just speculating.

You can't create another account to avoid punishments though.

hinarei has much to be proud of

exactly... so, while people who create multiple accounts won't be banned for doing so, they aren't encouraged to do so

there's no real point whatsoever in creating a new account, though, but the issue has been raised on more than one occassion.

to try and get round various bannings, as was implied, and also there have been multiple accounts to spam us. Nothing too sinister, but there seemed to be a lot of 'brothers' and 'friends' around at one point last year... lotsa spam at that point too ><

Truth, but unless you don't post you will be found out.

And if you don't post, then I'm sure it'll be deleted for inactivity... if you guys do that that is.

because they're unnecessary, I reckon. This wasn't pointed out in the original discussion of the rules, so thanks for your input

If it were up to me, I'd fix it to say they're not allowed. It's just gunk that clogs up the forum XD

and with over a thousand members, some who've not been here for a good couple of years, do you think that we delete accounts if they're not active? XD

Well, I guess MY account would've been deleted, I mean, I hadn't posted regularly in what? 6-12 months? Personally, I say if there are any posters who are inactive and are cosidered NEWBIES, THEY should be deleted. If you're a Senior Member like me or something like that, then I guess it would be okay to keep them on unless they tell you they will NEVER come back.

And that's the rule.

Here's a couple of examples of application of this rule.

1) You have 300 points. I point fine you 2,000 points, so now you have -1700 points. You say "screw it, I'll make a new user" This new user has 0 points to start. So if I see this is your new user, I then make sure that new account has -1700 points.

2) You cause trouble. Your avatar and sig privileges are suspended for a while. You hate this so start a new user who has no avatar or sig restrictions. If I see this is your new user, I then restrict the avatar and sig privileges on the new user.

I know what the rule is but what's the point of it? Why allow people to make another account in the first place? You can easily change your name in the store if you want.
