This is why activity must be a factor in giving someone a modship. If someone is not active, yank their modship. None of this "I'm going away for three months I demand to keep my modship." nonsense.

Hmm... What you say, sadly, does ring true... Pepe made a thread about changing the system to pick a mod. Maybe you should drop some idea's in there? We won't shout at you, promise. Could use some helpful hints

I agree with BC's idea on Spam and what he said about Mods taking long vacations/breaks being replaced. I also agree with leaving the problems of other forums over at the other forums. That's all I can think of saying right now.

Clean Up The Mods

I think we need more administrators. Especially to deal with the above Clean up the Mods issue.

For the lack of a better term, I think we should have a temporary "surge" in admins. Appoint two temporary administrators to help selo and hinarei (who are horrendously busy, I don't blame them) and Style (who is absent, and deserves to be WHOMPed

)

There are many issues which need to be dealt with, and dealt with quickly. Once the issues are dealt with, then selo and hinarei can go back to their regular lackadaisical, happy-go-lucky ways of doing things.

Gmods could do it alright.

The decisions of the administrators should be done by our permenents and only them.

Tempoarary admins? Maybe not. That's basically a slap in the face to the current admins, suggesting that they're fine until some Serious Business needs doing, then they call in reinforcements.

So you think meeting for an hour once a week is enough to deal with the moderators issue? In addition to the other administration details, like subforum approvals, SSF approvals, implementing all the good ideas (and YES, there are lots of them), and fixing other issues?

They should be able to fix all the issues in six to eight years. Is that acceptable?

Sorry, I wasn't totally clear. I was more concerned at the 'temporary' bit than the 'extra ... admin' bit. I just think that if we need another admin, then we need another admin, and it should be a permanent appointment. No more that one, though.
