2500? that sorta wouldn't be fair to the newbies tho. it would take awhile for them to get there if they wanted to change their names. plus what if they wanted to buy a couple of gifts or somethin? i'm not saying that you should lower it too something that ppl could just change it anytime they wanted, just to a reasonable price. around 1750 or so. that way the newbies wont have to work so much just to change a lousy name. you could also set it too where they can only change 1 a week. i figured that you might not change it just cause i asked but keep this in mind for will ya? thanks ^^

1750 is a good number.

my problem with name changes is that you know someone and they change their name and suddenly you can't tell if you know them or who they were

Usually they have the same Avatar/Signature... atleast the Profile info would be the same. I sometimes recognize people by Avatars/Signatures.

there are threads to post your name changes (I think there's a sticky in Welcomes), so if people want to, they can keep us up to date in there.

I don't mind people changing their names, but it was getting a bit much. 1000 was achievable, so I don't see why 2500 shouldn't be.

You seem to be missing the point completely. Your argument appears to run along the lines of 'its unfair coz ppl who work in mcdonalds cant afford a mansion'.

Of course they can't. Being able to change your name isn't a free right, or else it wouldn't cost anything, would it?

I am in agreement with the 2500 point rule. I didn't mind Enma changing her name occasionally, as I could get used to the new names, but when people started changing names ALMOST EVERY DAY, it was getting beyond annoying. Especially if they insisted we called them by their new name every time, on top of having to identify them. This might slow down that impulse and make them a little more responsible regarding names and how others feel about constant changes.

If I had my way, I would ban changed altogether. I know who all the old members are because this never used to happen so often, but now I don't know if I've even met people here before. I lose all the respect or friendship I may have gained with someone just because they suddenly become unidentifiable. It's silly.
