Member Music Spotlight
I had an idea that goes like this:
There is an internet application called Project Playlist which is very easy to use. You use the website to search for music (it has literally EVERYTHING) and you add it to a playlist.
Here's where it is relevant to animeb:
We give the chance to a member to put their favourite music up in the Player for a week or however long. They build their music into a playlist via here:
music search engine | Project Playlist | Music Playlist || Facebook, Tagworld, Stickam, Hi5, Friendster, Infieldparking.com, Xanga, Myspace Music Playlists
and then PM it to the admin or Mod in charge, who posts it onto the forum creating the player for all to use and see.
This has benefits over the radio as it works independantly and doesnt need an operator. It also gives the individual member the controls, allowing them to listen to any song on the playlist whenever they like and repeat play etc. It also displays the names and titles of the songs and helps people find new music ^_^
So what do you think? ^_^

I think the whole point of the radio is that people find it cool to operate...

True, but it can be impractical. For example said person may have computer problems, the listeners dont know what the song is and the listeners cant control what they listen to. With the Project Playlist, they can explore the featured playlist independantly, listening to favourite songs over and over and knowing that it doesnt rely on someone putting the music on for them.

Yeh, I suppose so. No harm in it, if people want to do it.

Yeah, but they could easily just listen to that one song over and over again... after downloading it for themselves.
The point of the radio is the listen to OTHERS music. In listening to others music, you also find music you like in which that DJ can then send you
This is rather, irrelevant.
