Poor Kanako has to live with the fact she's only featured in the last volumes and has features many do not exactly love. I think it is great she has had a real fan brigade at all, and I respect all those who feel true devotion for her sake.

Wonder if Kanako had become my number one favorite in case she had been introduced by vol. VI or so.

I think I might have had a bigger draw for her had that been the case. She didn't get quite as much coverage (I know... the innuendo flows like water with that ) as the rest of the Hinata Girls.

Ah well, i suppose it's always small technical features that lead to these things, the old is comforting and certain, people stick to it. it's the same with everything else as well. Just look at zelda, nothing can overthrow Ocarina of time simply because they know ocarina of time as the first 3d and no other improvement in story, or lay-ouy, graphics or puzzle can compensate for familiarity.

That's the disadvantage of not being first ;P

The plot requires Kanako to come around at a late point. She has more superhero abilities than any of the "Fabulous Five" girls alone does, and that is why she can be "thrown against" them only after most of their individual features have been utilized to build the story. Throwing Kanako in significantly earlier would produce a very different storyline, not to even speak about atmosphere.

My first impression I got of her was "She is a physical and mental powerhouse!". She was introduced under a disadvantage to balance her chances. If she was introduced earlier, she could have sabotaged every character one by one until she comes as the victor. However, since she was introduced after Keitaro and Naru's relationship solidified, she had an uphill battle that she was close to overcome until she simply gave up trying.

Back on topic, I voted for GHK.

You realize that if you guys could do this yourself I'd of jumped for the Motoko brigade.

But still Kanako is a real powerhouse character, she stands up to Motoko more than once, winning more by brain than brawn as Motoko has shown she's stronger, though not more ruthless.

I basically like all the characters. My top five favorite Are

1st place tie: Naru and Kanako
2nd: Su
3rd: Sarah
4th: Keitaro (hes at the bottom becaus ehe fails at everything )
