Yeah..... keitaro never really had an Imouto Complex
. So, despite all the horny fanboys out there, it wasn't really in the cards. The subject did make for a nice racy theme for the manga/OAV though .

hard to say.
He obviously found the idea entertaining somewhere in his subconscious The dress he pictured her in in his dreams left, well... let's be fair, nothing to the imagination ![]() I reckon she did stand a chance. But by narrative causality and boots to the head, he went and stuck to Naru throughout most of the series ![]() |

![]() Back to the topic, Hinarei has a point here. I may dare to say that her chances hypothetically is not that simple to discard. She was gaining the upper hand by exploiting Naru's reluctance to express her feelings to Keitaro. Eventualy, Naru snapped and ran away. After that, knowing Kanako's manipulative character she could have changed Keitaro's mind. |

Kinda of an ironic statement to say as true as it is :b. Her downfall was indeed her kindness to her brother. She became well known for manipulating other characters to lose their mind. She just couldn't change the hardest mind to change: a person who is in love.
My question then becomes: why did she suddenly decide to help Naru when she was doing the opposite all along? |

Her good nature didn't kick in when she knew Naru loved keitaro, only when she found out He Loved her.
It's kind of like shinobu or tomoyo in that she decided that she would rather choose he path that made her love interest happier regardless of wether or not it was with her

You know the second time I read vol. 11 and 12 two years ago, I did feel that Kanako was more focused in making Naru leave Keitaro than viceversa. Makes me wander what would have happened if Kanako would have succeeded in her manipulation of Naru and made Naru leave Keitaro. However, Kanako really had no chance when Naru came back to Keitaro. However, it would have become very interesting if Naru actualy decided to leave Keitaro. Now that I brought this fictional situation. I am going to try keep this discussion going by modifying my original question. Except for Naru, and considering the other girls; did Kanako have the best chance to conquer Keitaro in comparison to the other girls? Last edited by Mandrake; 5 Dec 2007 at 10:56 pm..
