Err....Motoko is not a samurai,she is a swordswoman,yes,but no samurai.She follows a code of honor,yes,but not the Samurai one,the Shinmei Ryu one.
And last.....she is a person,not an aspect of a moral code.If Motoko had a reason good enough,she would! dress up for it!I also think this is part of tha she doesn´t like to be called things like cute,she is more sincere and therefore would rather be called sexy,but before that.I think she would like to be called beautiful or something more serious things than "Kawaii".My two cents
