To Pepe: Frankly speaking, I do not completely understand the nature of the service Silæs has entered. It sounds like something resembling the military, but no one has mentioned that word yet.
Oh Wålf, you tempt me to write yet another linguistic essay. My apologies to the others.

I have developed a pretty good touch for them. I got aisu kurimu and nekkutai almost instantly, but haafu made me think of something like * herf or * harf so that I needed your reference.
You cannot really compare the older Scandinavian loan-words in Finnish with the mentioned ones in Japanese, because Swedish itself has changed so much in the meantime. Like, there are no Old English or Middle English loans in Japanese.
I will give you ten typical "modern" loans from Swedish (taken during the last two or maybe three hundred years). We generally use word-final i the way the Japanese would use syllable-completing u or o. You judge. My feeling is that older loans could be more hilarious but also much more difficult to get.
automaatti
jasmiini
likööri
keksi
majuri
pankki
pingviini
pörssi
sementti
sosiaalidemokraatti
Sometimes it is hard to determine whether a word is purely of Swedish origin; the corresponding Latin, Greek, German, etc. words may have affected the variant finally adapted for the literary norm.
To give a clear example with an AnimeB reference, ordinary people of the past decades widely used petonki (< Sw. betong < Fr. béton), but higher-class people more or less forced betoni (straight from French, I suppose) into its place. Nowadays, in speech, you almost exclusively meet variation from betoni to petoni, according to how deeply the individual speaker has adopted the use of b.

more commonly known as "teh lose". We anyway see him more as the source of all our complaints and personal servant than leader...
As Kataja notes, he's off to fight the wretched Swedes and reconquer Skåne with the rest of the powerful Danish Armed Forces. In other words; he's serving his military duty. As far as I've understood it's fairly short (4 months) and he's got the weekends off, so I guess we'll see more of him pretty soon.

And I kind of guessed that you wouldn't have that kind of new, weird, loanwords. Most of the English in Japanese has come in the last decade, probably mostly after WW2 with the American control of Japan etc. I can give you two more which are probably a little harder: terebi and shatsu.
I can understand most of those Swedish loanwords, and I can see they might be pretty amusing, at least I guess the Swedish influence on Finnish might in some ways at least be compared with the English influence on Norwegian(although this one will be younger).

Well it's simply just compulsary military service. Every young man has to do service for 4 months, and that's what I'm doing right now. I'll return with more activity once I'm done
