Did anyone notice *Spoiler Some-what*

That on the penultimate frame of the Love Hina Volume 14 manga, the picture with naru in brides-outfit chasing Keitaro down the steps, and the characters looking down at them, that Mutsumi was left out?
All characters were there except Mutsumi and I think that spoiled the frame.

If you look around a little in the frame we are talking about, you will notice a extra "unknown" character that looks like Mei. Its great for trivia questions.

That's really weird... I guess Mutsumi really wasn't there, although I noticed one of her little siblings there.

But Mei was definitely there as a tribute to the anime character since the manga ended after the anime.

I guess even a whole studio can screw something as simple as including a important character in the series in one of the most important frames in the manga.

That's a different Mei, and I doubt Akamatsu was thinking ahead so far as the cultural festival arc when he was still finishing love hina. The fact that she was wearing the same clothing as in the anime makes it clear to me that she just simply making an appearance from the anime.

If you pay attention, at one point Naru calls Mei on her cell phone, so it's not just a Mei look-a-like, but actually her.

that most writers have almost all their charactors in mind before they start the work. If they do come up with them later on, as some do indeed do, they put them in then. But, Mei was in LH as we know, so KA most likely wanted to use her in Negima, but WAITED untill the Festival to bring her in as a negima charactor. So he just did not think Mei up right then, as you put it.

Now if i can, lets changed the random "did you notice" to another event in KA's works. at the page of the first book of Negima, where we see the dual page pic of the students rushing to school, and the guy on the bike with the girl selling meat buns, if you look you can see Motoko and Naru in there.
