First of all, my most sincere thanks to R0b0-tr0n who provided me with the scanlations I have used, and to Hinarei and my brother Nlt, who commented the first page of version 1.0 by request.

My original idea was to make another Shinobu Brigade poster, entitled "Please Help Save My Brigade!", using just one panel of the double page. But as I reread that part of LH, I realized I could make up a whole little story of self-reflection. I have not always been able to remain so true to the fandom myself, but my intention was to deal with the whole fandom crisis that can be perceived on AnimeB nowadays. Thus "Mr. AnimeB", the Keitaro look-alike, has both traits that resemble me and ones that have nothing to do with me. Downloading anime series on the web belongs to the latter category, for example. I am not going to explain every single detail, because the purpose of my work is to raise thoughts and questions rather than represent one solid view.

I might possibly expand the story by one to three pages at some later point. As for now, I hope you enjoyed and I really hope this will inspire more, and maybe more upbeat, captionings by fellow AnimeBees.

You can't stay completely true to a series, even one you fall head over heels for. Something else will come along to eventually take it's place. It happens to us all, I'm afraid. But saying that, and bearing in mind Kitsune's expression, I can safely say that while the fire of LH fandom doesn't consume me to anywhere like the degree it did four or five years ago, it's still bright ^^ I've only really gone deep into a couple of series, since.

Negima held my attention for a time, but it took a long while to make it there, and is still working away...

Magipoka took me over for a while around a year ago, and all I could think of was grabbing the torrents of each episode as the fansubbers issued it. Other series went out the window. I'd not felt like that since grabbing the DivX rips of LH ages ago.

Gradually though, I return to the realisation that Love Hina is the series that actually defines my time online Quite powerful that

It's a bitter sweet symphony, this life. Makes you wanna say, "don't you ever, ever change, always stay the way you are now" (älä koskaan ikinä muutu, pysy aina tuollaisena kuin nyt oot).

well, yes, it was tough to read it any other way Thing is, I'm not the only one this has to convince

Talk about tugging at the ol' emotions with this one it's about as subtle as a brick

I quite like the Verve song listened to that constantly when it came out

I feel deeply for the series... it's one of the main reasons I'm on forums at all. Sure, I started off on my manga meanderings by reading Gunsmith Cats, then got into EVA, but this one actually prompted me to get online and start posting.

A lot of people say, with plenty of justification, that if it wasn't for Love Hina (or indeed, Negima), they wouldn't be here. I think I can say that I might not have ever joined a forum were it not to this series

Now let me get one thing straight though: reading more than just your ultimate favorites is never, never wrong IMHO.

But fandom is a bit like a love relationship. If you neglect it enough, it may die out.

oh, I understand what you mean... you can't concentrate on one series to the exclusion of others (as the girls above may want us to ) but we can balance 'em out with this one

If I'd focused solely on LH I feel I would have exhausted myself by now Coming back to it every now and then helps refresh the ol' memory

Thanks for the shout-out Kataja, I'm glad I could help.

I don't really understand the brigades, or the history of things here, but AnimeB appears to be the last place remaining for Love Hina fans to congregate, and I hope there's still some life in it yet. (Makes me wish I had been around in early days of LH fandom...)

There is certainly life after Love Hina, but it never really has to end...
