I like the thinking behind Tama-chan's placing though Suu was actually far more well-liked than she actually is as represented here, but the voting public put her chasing tasty Tama-chan

The original fan polls, as much as I appreciate them, represent a Japanese view. Even if the AnimeB brigades had put equal efforts into recruiting at their peak (which was not the case), our order of preference would tell about the tastes of certain primarily or secondarily anglophone regions over the world...

Off topic: Oh my. Writing this and reminiscing of the past, I suddenly had a short emotional flashback of the Fall of 2005. For a little while, I returned to the world where I was so new to Japanese comics that all the LHm girls felt like completely unique creations. Yeah, that is how it felt when I knew little of the kawaii blue-haired stereotype. That is how it felt when Naru's weak moments really made my heart pound, even if I anticipated those scenes to be parodies of a huge mass of romantic manga.

Boy, was that a wonderful experience!

you betcha, Kata... thinking back to when I first got into the series, it was an all-consuming thing for me I fell completely for the story, the characters, and the format

It's a shame we're no longer at our peak, but there's new people coming into this series and Negima all the time, with different opinions, different tastes... We're not going to solve anything, but yes, largely English-as-first-language opinions That said, we've got people from Japan who've logged in here, so their thoughts count too ^^

I know, I know. She has her moments, which is why I'm an inconsistent member of the Naru Brigade *points to sig*.

I realise our opinions don't count, but I still think Shinobu would trump Naru, even in Japan. Maybe the Japanese fanboys simply liked all the Naru fanservice?
