Love Hina favorite character rankings (according to manga)
Saw this posted elsewhere so I am reposting this.

And Makie does surprisingly well in the Negima polls, too... Woo for Yui Horie!

WHOOO! Motoko makes #3~!!!
The main characters ALWAYS tend to make the top in character polls... XD It really only gets interesting when you look at how the subcharacters rank further down. =Þ I guess its not TOO surprising that Shinobu beat out Motoko...Only by 50 votes though... pretty close... XD

Yeah Naru was #1!
Naru always winning on polls? Why not? She's the front girl on the band, mahN! So why dont she won? But I think it's very cruel to Keitaro... He's the main event! So why did he get the place of five? Does that means that many men watch Love Hina than women?

It's for those who read it, rather than watch it. And who says a man's favourite character has to be a a woman, and vice-versa?

Smoke... Yes... Men tend to watch/read LH much more than women... After all, it IS a Shonen (boy's) series. =Þ
Of course, there are the few rare women who have wonderful tastes and have joined the LH following as well. XD Of course Keitaro scored a bit lower, though... Sure, he's the main character... But the girls really are the MAIN characters... ^_^ I dunno if Motoko would have done too much better if there was a later poll either... People tend to form their strong likes of characters towards the beginning... I loved Motoko from the start. And while some minor characters moved around a bit in my favor ranking... My most favorites pretty much stayed the same throughout. =Þ

I'd favoured Shinobu more earlier on, then Motoko sort of made her way up to second place throughout the manga.

Rarely is there a case where the supporting character would overtake the main character in a manga or anime.
the only time this happen which I know of is in Tenchi Muyo. Ryuko was suppose to be one of the main character but the poll turns out Sasami having the highest vote. And of course she later get to have her own anime serie. lol

These polls, I like them. I'd like them better if they included Nyamo, too. So very little seen, but still loved. She ranks up there with Naru, Mutsumi, Motoko and Shinobu....which are somewhat all No. 1 in my list.

Yeah, that has to be it. I mean she was only featured once in the anime and twice in the novel. I think I final count is in order featuring all characters, even smaller ones like Kantaro, Mei, and the girl that was only featured in Vol. 14.
