Love hina fans are very young
Before you read this post, be warned that I might offend you, but it's really not my problem if I may offend you. So if this pisses you off, try and write something 'useful' instead of. " What! Moron!" or something.. Anyhow:
I've noticed that there's actually LH fans at the age of 12, 13 and 14, and I was just wondering. Isn't Love Hina a comic that applies to a bit older people? It deals with issues such as problems one may have when they leave the elementary school, finding a kawaiii girl  and additionally I believe that a lot of the pictures and episodes in LH also apply to people who have left the early teen years?I don't say this 'cuz I want to get rid of every LH fan who's not over 16 or something. But I was just wondering, I used to consider myself an young LH fan, but it appears I may be wrong? Does anyone agree with this? And what is your opinion?

Sorry... I couldnt help but give in to the temptation. ^__^;;; While I do believe that LH should be more aimed to people of a more... mature age. Something like 16+... Maybe 13+ at youngest... It's made for teenage boys. Though you might think 13 may be too young... It's actually a decent age. Teenagers are learning this kind of stuff at a young age... If not well taught from parents, then from peers at school or through other sources such as TV, music, and hell, even Manga. XD Though I must say that I dont know many young people who are into series such as LH. I started this series when I was 15 or 16... And I drug many of my friends (around the same age) into it as well. Apart from the implied sexual context... and the variable amounts of Fanservice and Ecchi moments... There really isnt that much in LH that would 'corrupt' anyone around the age of 12. There's far worse than LH. So long as we help them understand the situations and compared to rights and wrongs of reality... I dun think there's a problem with it. ^_^

Who said it was a fanfic? It was an "OVA". (Not a very good one, mind you.)
It was just horrid... With WAAAAY too much FanService. T__T Anyway, yeah, I suppose it is odd. Lots of young people around here... And kids ARE getting way too much exposure at earlier ages nowadays... Its kinda sad. But, at LH is alot better influence than many other things. XD

I'm not surprised by the ages of the people enjoying Love Hina. If I knew about it when I was younger I know I'd definitely like it. It can easily be appreciated by teenage boys.

Love Hina was a weekly comic in Japan, it was printed on a compilation comic book or comic-zine targeted at reader or 12 and up.
Love Hina is catagorized as Shounen Manga, Comic for young men. Yup, LH got the targeted crowd reading this, and this is no coincident but designed.
