You HAVE to feel sorry for Shinobu when our dear Mr. Urashima convinced her that, if he could get into Todai (and he did anyway), she could do well in her exams.
That was the one aprt of Love Hina I liked the most.

Its hard to describe how i fell in love with Naru.
When i first saw a picture of all the characters she caught my eye as the best looking of all of them. Thats not why shes my favorite character though. As i watched the series i suppose i wanted to be in keitaros position so i could be with Naru. When she wasnt being violent she was so sweet and kind. As the series went on she grew on me more and more. Little quirks about her personality and facial expressions she would make stuck in my mind. As i watched the anime, she would smile and i would smile. She would be upset and i would be staring at the screen, eyes peeled, hoping to see her feel better. I like everything about her. From her name to little details about her shes definetly my favorite character. To answer the question in your mind right now: No i dont have a naru shrine, or pictures of her all over my room. I have a normal life outside of love hina. I just figured i would do naru justice and really give some good reasons why naru is my favorite character

And i agree with what you said. A lot of people dont like LHA, i think it was a great addition to the anime.

Well here's how it happened...
The first Love Hina girl I saw (out of manga) was Naru. I thought she was really cute, and well... but anyway, I ended up reading a spoiler that said she gets with Keitaro and I figured if that's the case, then I should fall in love with one of the other girls (seeing as how Naru was taken). Out of the original five girls (Naru, Kitsune, Motoko, Shinobu and Su), I took an interest in Motoko-sama. And then I found myself liking her more and more, and then... and then she started swinging her sword around and hitting people, and something in my head went off, and I was pretty much hopelessly in love with her by the end of the first manga. She so cute! As the manga went on I kept falling more and more for her. Everything she did cause me to fall more and more in love with her. I almost passed out during bath scenes, and when Keitaro walked in on her every now and then. I got really jealous when Keitaro had to fake being her husband (didn't we all). I just wanted to jump into that manga when she cried and hold her, and at those times I wanted to slap Tsuruko (though I probably would've died). I'm actually glad I read that spoiler though, because if I didn't, I probably would have been stupid and payed all my attention to Naru! I sort of wish I was born in the early '80's though, cause if I was, then I'd be the same age as Motoko! Ohh, the endless nights of... dueling. well at first i liked naru a lot and it was like that until i finish the manga for the first time but as i reread the manga i see the number of opportunity she had and that she failed, i started to dislike her and started to turn to another LH cahracter. then there was a war in my head between shinobu and motoko. but at the end, when i see motoko in volume 9 and 13 i got attached to her and so i started being a fan of pure japanese beauties like motoko

Not sure how I fell in love with Naru. At first I didn't like her 'cause I thought she would go too far in abusing Keitaro, but something 'cause me to start really loving her. Maybe that's what happened with Keitaro.

Yay Old Thread Ressurection! ^_^
Anyway... I'm pretty much going to have to agree exactly with Sir Xen gK on this one... Motoko-dono kinda grew on me... And the kicker, was that scene when she cried... "Don't be so nice to me..." That just ripped my heart out. It was sealed then. =P Actually... I think it was because Motoko's Tsundere. Of course, at the time, I didnt even have a clue of the concept of Tsundere... <__< At first I just thought it was a thing for Raven Haired Kendo Girls... (I dug Twilight Suzuka of Outlaw Star too... but not as much as Motoko. ^_~) But, I realized more and more over time, that it's the personality type. Plus... I love a girl that can kick my ass. ^___^;;;

i think i fell in love with toko because she seemed to be the only one with a philosophical brain, rather than naru's brainy-ness, kitsune's lack-thereof or shinobu's shyness. I mean sure they all have thier good points, but motoko could seriously hold a conversation (i like talking about wierd things like that, none of the tree in the woods crap)
plus its nice to know i'm not the only girl who can hold her own against almost anyone so long as there is a 3 foot stick lying around.
