Both endings were terrible. No HKSS agents anywhere in sight.

Thats your opinion, nahh, i think it was pretty good, the manga Ending was way better then the Anime ending.

The manga completely pwned the anime in terms of ending. Although I didn't like the little bit at the end where they got married and stuff. Still, I never like those "5 years later..." type of things.

I find both the anime and the manga far too short, I like the whole story until the lets end the series thing...

yea they are pretty short, and I didnt like it how they brought in a new character at the end that we then could not have a little story about her or something just to put your mind at rest.

The Manga ending certainly pwned the Anime ending (including the audio's) - the anime hardly had an ending. And yes, I think the manga ended too quick aswell. You can actually tell because the story lost it's steady pace at a certain point and speeding. I think this may be because it was rushed to end it as quickly as possible.

I would have been atleast satisfied if they put volume 13 in the anime, but we all know that didn't happen D=(Well maybe with seta capturing keitaro,I don't know ^^

The manga though I felt they wrapped mostly everything up,although only thing that was abit iffy was that I think they had Naru's sister at the last page somewhere in the corner, and I guess if you haven't seen the anime to know what she looked like, you'd probobly think she was a random character.

Dr. Tokofan is a jewel in the rough
Anime ending SUCKED. It left a lot of questions, and while the OVA provided some closure, it was just fan service for all the perverted guys, which in my case was not so fun to watch.
On the other hand, the manga ending was great! I still wish there was more story (the nature of a fan of anything) but it ended perfectly.

i just finished the manga and i liked the ending but to bad it didnt go on longer cause since they brought in emma. its kinda wierd that they bring in a new person at the end on the story. i wanted to know what year it ended in the 14 vol? i know it started in 98? im just kinda lost on the years.

It's either:
1) the date in the afterword, which is January 2002
orrrrrrrr
2) It starts in 1998, right? Assuming this, you add two years to that for the amount of time Keitaro was there before he went to America, which is 2 years. Add 6 months from February, and we get April when he returns. So basically, the events of volumes 11 and 12 take place in April. I don't know when lantern festival is, but if we assume it's in summer, that means by the end of book 14 (minus epilogue) Kei's been there for 3 years, which is 2001. 4 years later for the epilogue, and you have 2005! Hope I did the math right...
