Yes, but the reason it had such a sudden ending was due to money issues. If he had tried to fully flesh out the ending he would have simply ruined the series due to the poor production values that would be present. And before anyone retorts with ''why not continue it now?'' I actually implore you to go find out how little he makes from the series.

the ending of the manga got me thinking that he could make a sequel to love hina, maybe not where the anime left off but where the manga did. to bad he didnt.

I wish there was a sequel, just as every other fan does, but the manga series ended in a fairly good place. If there was more, it probably would center around Ema. There NEEDS to be another anime series, though. The OVAs didn't really help the plot much, and if you didn't read the manga, you would have no clue what happened with the whole "promise girl" plotline. So yeah, there shhould be another anime, and a manga would be nice, but unnesecary.

Mmh...

It would be awesome to know how are Keitaro and Naru doing after their marriage, if they have kids... If they're still living at Hinata... Though they wouldn't be the main characters :/ - It's now Shinobu's, Motoko's, Kitsune's, Suu's, and Ema's turn to find their love (I'd specially like to watch Ema's evolution through the sequel, since she's trying to enter to Tôdai).

Speaking about Anime... I'd like to see the story ended :/ - Those OVAs didn't help that much to reveal what happened to Keitaro and Naru (And even worse, they tergiversated all that :/)

I honestly would like to read a sequel from LH, I'd be as happy as when I read that manga

nah, I don't think a sequel would build on Ema, because the story would be way to similar and akamatsu would get deja vu. He already has enough from negima XD

I think LHA was designed for people who've read the manga, really.

Yeah, that would rock. I'm also pretty sure Ken Akamatsu will continue the series, after he has finished Negima. Nobody would leave a popular series just like that. BTW, welcome to the forums!

It's perfectly nromal to leave a popular series untouched and move on to other work. Even if he made a second series, it'd probably be more popular with the original LH fans. BTW, outlawchesus, that's a great idea.
