Congratulations to all of the mecha brigde's members. Thanks to your hard work, this brigade has finally achieved the requirements we need to become a subforum. Now we shall have to wait for BC to respond to the request.

I was wondering, what exactly do Gundams run on? I know that it has to have SOME sort of fuel system, but I've never seen a Gundam run out of "gas" out on the battle field. Any takers on my question?

Most of the early mobile suits run on nuclear power engines. Thats why they create such huge explosions. Thats a constant for most of the series including the alternate timelines. But in Seed, you have energy batteries for most of the early ones, since nuclear weapons have been nullified. Its only until the Freedom that you see a nuclear powered machine in the Cosmic Era.

yes. That is correct. It was an attempt to make sure the Gundams in Seed had a weakness that made them more realistic.

N-Jammer Cancellers fixed that though. At least until both N-Jammers and the Cancellers were banned from the battlefield.

Very true. But it was nice to have some realism again in Gundam. At least, its more believable for the incoming fans.

However, the Nuke reactors and cold fusion reactors WERE realistic too in that they produced the power that would be needed to use MS, especially in gravity.

I'm curious as to the deutarion(I think its spelled wrong) laser system being powerful enough and accurate enough to specifically give an energy charge instantly to the Impulse for its function and weapons in less than 10 seconds, but never used as a weapon. Why don't they ever make a beam sniper with that much power? It is accurate enough to be pointed at the Impluses head crest and recharge it to max, so woudn't it be possible to make that recharge beam into a super laser?

Its accurate, but the actual speed of the beam is slow. By the way, post stuff like that in the new Gundam Q & A thread tim.
