Real-type Mecha RP Discussion Thread

This thread is designed to be a discussion thread for the Real-type mecha RP which will take place soon. The Real-type will follow a stricter set of rules since, there is actually technology and physics involved in animes with such mecha. Now, first off, for those of you who don't know the difference between a Super-type and a Real-type, here is the wikipedia article.

This thread will also outline the rules that will accompany the beginning post of the RP.
1. This RP is will be set during an existing battle within a Real-type mecha anime. And these battles will be large-scale ones as well.
2. There will be multiple RP's, as there are plenty of major battles that we can put ourselves into.
3. The limit to the number of posts for each battle is: (will put in once we decide); or after a time period of (will insert timeframe here as well)
4. Original characters are encouraged. But the mecha that can be used can only be exclusive to that series, and must exist within that series; and have participated in that battle.
5. The forms of battle must be consistent with the limitations of that particular machine. (So no super moves, save that for the Super-type RP)
6. As for special unlocks, they can only be employed in extremely dire situations. And one must ask permission of an organizer for activation. (We can't have any Kira's here)
7. Battles with grunts is essential. Destroy them, disable them, etc.; do what you want. But you must battle a significant amount as you're not going to just be running into your peers on these battlefields.
8. Encounters with actual characters from the series the battle takes place in is allowed. Fight alongside them, or fight them yourself. But remember, if they are truly important to the story, you cannot kill or disable them.
9. Sides must be chosen in this RP. No switching allegiences either, and there must be equal proportions of members to each side.

Ok, thats all I have for the moment. Now, discussion may start. The first objective is to choose which major scale battle we want to participate in first.

I recommend that the first battleground be were the Zentradi first attack Earth *so this would be mostly an aerial battle*

MINUS the Zentradi, seeing as how sides will be taken...

I personally prefer that we participate in the final Battle of Jachin Due.

Not as Athrun though. You can be an original character in the Three Ships Alliance(or Terminal) if you plan on fighting alongside him. Im really strict about this you guys. This RP is for experiencing what a normal soldier(or moderately abnormal) would experience in a major battle. The super can involve all the crazy moves you want.

Ok then. Perfect. Once we decide on what battle we do first, I'll provide lists of machines that participated in such battle.

Right. Can our mechs resemble the Gundams already used in battle? I mean, can they have similar weapons and designs?

Mechs here are ones that really have exisited within that anime. So if we do Jachin Due, and you're in the Three Ships Alliance, that means M1 Astrays or some MS Variation machine within that organization.

Ah...now I understand. Thanks Duo. But can our mech have any extra or irregular parts from it's original? Or does it have to be exactly the same?

Yes, it can have some extra customizations. Just don't go overboard.
@Golden, what are you confused about. The final Battle of Libra is just as in the running as anything else.
