MBU Page 21: FIRE BOMBER!!
- The band Fire Bomber is more fully introduced. - Introduction of the Melord, from which Duo will deploy at Kilimanjaro. - CPO Lilia Flauberl (ZAFT) introduced. - First use of a Windam. - First actual meeting between Duo and Kamille. - Maverick, AKA Captain Dyson, the Wild Eagle, returns. Summary: In the end, Rei, Saito, James, and Kai all end up staying at the ORB Day Festival, although Kai never meets up with the other three. Following Fire Bomber's masterful and showy performance, the festival comes to a close, and the crowd disperses. As the Kilimanjaro-bound Melord flies overhead, Duo watches what he can of the concert, and his desire to forge true peace throughout the Earth Sphere is renewed and strengthened. It is on the Melord that he also meets the young CPO Lilia Flauberl, the vessel's operator. Duo is one of the first to drop at the Titan base, where he is accosted by a Windam, two Long Daggers, and an Asshimar. Although he handles himself well, he gets caught by the Asshimar in its MA mode, and is aided by Kamille in the Zeta Gundam. Working together, the two proceed to fight their way further into the chaos around the base. Captain Shin Kudo Dyson, AKA the Wild Eagle, reappears in ORB as the UN/ORB Liason. He meets up with Rei for the first time in more than a year, who isn't the happiest to see him. Dyson reports to Rei that she will be accompanying his team on a certain mission, and they head off to meet with the Head Officer. Interesting Quotes: Saito says, "Stupid anime.... giving me hope that war can really be ended by force... " followed by "... Well... I never said it was a bad anime..." I'm not entirely sure if Saito is referring to his existence in an anime universe, and just being sarcastic, or if he's actually talking about a particular anime series. Either way, the irony's equally thick about his statements, lol. Oh, yes: FIRE! BOMBER!

MBU Page 22: Acceleration
Important Quote: "'Besides, this is a 'special' meeting Rei.' He said in a different tone of voice that would of shocked anyone who had been listening to him before...Completely different, Shin watched as the doors automatically opened before him and walked in." *Plays Yu-Gi-Oh! Theme.* - Introduction of Ms. Erica Simmons (Morgenroete, Inc.). - Elly (daughter of one of the Titans) introduced. Summary: After a crazy motorcycle ride, Rei and Shin arrive at their destination, a building which hides a special HQ. Inside, they are informed by Erica Simmons that they are to be part of a secret military team that will aid ORB, the UN, and their allies. As Rei is about to suggest that Saito be added to this group, her mother interrupts, and leads Shin and Rei to the mech hangar, where Shin's new Veritech is housed. Ryouba, his Junk Guild crew, and the three ex-AEUG aces (now mercenaries) go over a battle plan for Kilimanjaro, more than likely aimed at assisting the ZAFT and Neo Zeon against the Titans. When a Windam finds their position, Soriko further gives it away by going after it. Ryouba and his team prepare in haste for the battle likely to come. Hanami and Hikari, on opposite sides of the war, begin battle at Kilimanjaro. However, while Hanami is inexperienced, reluctant, and afraid to engage, Hikari tears through his enemies without remorse. Duo and Kamille are informed that Jamitov Hymem is within Kilimanjaro, and are ordered to find and kill him. Both pilots are happy for the news and orders, since Jamitov's just that popular of a guy. Switching to Waverider mode, the Zeta carries the Dreissen into the battle below to find the base's opening under a nearby lake.

MBU Page 23: Teams
Subtitle: RUSTY! NO!!! - Chief Tech Nakajima introduced. - Introduction to Shin's team as the Skull Squadron. - First mention of Roy Fockker. - First mention of Rei's illness. - First real appearance of Aeros. - First use of a Doppelhorn Dagger L; Jet Dagger; Guntank II; GM Sniper; Sword Dagger L; Zamza-Zah. - First time Ryouba is in actual battle with his Kurenaien. Summary: Saito has at last nearly completed his new Gundam when his brother, Aeros, comes into town. Saito asks his brother for money, who asks to see his new Gundam in exchange. Agreeing, Saito takes the money and promises to show Aeros when the mech is completely finished. Shin closely examines his new Veritech before taking it for a test ride. While he's airborne, Rei's mother reveals that Rei has some sort of mysterious illness, which has already begun manifesting itself: her right eye has succumbed to total blindness. Rei storms off to meet with Shin, who drove his brand new Veritech just a TAD too hard. They both leave for HQ, and then to locate Saito, but he is unreachable by satellite tracking as well as by cell phone. They must now find him physically, to Rei's chagrin. Ryouba experiences his first large-scale MS battle, since arriving at Paris more than a year ago, at Kilimanjaro. The confusion throws him off a bit before he begins fighting. Soriko's battle prowess with her new DSSD Astray Vital Burner is clearly demonstrated. Duo and Kamille ascend to the summit and fight through and defeat a group of Windams accompanied by a Zamza-Zah. They proceed down the other side of the mountain in search of the lake entrance. James is met by Admiral Jenius onboard the Walter N. Vernou. Jenius promotes James to true Captain status, assigning him to the team Rei and Shin are now a part of. James and Jenius travel to ORB in order to gather the members of the new team together.

MBU Page 24: Evasion
- Introduction of Jamitov Hymem and Murasame Four (Titans). - Appearance of the Psycho Gundam Mk II and Dijeh. - Introduction of Amuro and Hayato (AEUG-Karaba). - Appearance of the Destroy Gundam. Summary: James, Rei, and Shin meet up again at ORB HQ as members of the new UN/ORB Special Ops Unit. They are currently still searching for Saito as their fourth member. The Kilimanjaro scene in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is almost entirely recreated, with Duo instead of Char, and without that woman scientist. To put it simply: Duo and Kamille enter the base at Kilimanjaro via a pipe system in the waters of a small lake. They successfully make their way unnoticed through the halls and find Jamitov, who leads them into a trap when they enter a small, locked room behind bulletproof glass. Duo introduces himself to Jamitov, who recalls the mercenary's parents' murder as nothing more than a play to make scapegoats of innocent people in the days of Zeon. Murasame Four, who had been sleeping in the room this whole time, awakens and opens the far door, which she, Kamille, and Duo enter, and which locks behind them as Titans begin to enter the room from the other side. Kamille tries (unsuccessfully) to remind Four of who he is. She boards the Psycho Gundam Mk II and enters the battle, but Amuro is able to drive her back. Duo and Kamille escape the base and rendez-vous with Amuro. That night, they plan to make camp together on the side of the mountain. The battle is nowhere near over just yet. Ryouba and his team continue fighting against the Titans at Kilimanjaro. Arashi and Ken get more screen-time, so to speak. Hikari and Hanami begin fighting each other on the battlefield at Kilimanjaro.

MBU Page 25: No Resolutions
OOC: All roles played by Shinigami, Ryouba, Judas, and Hikari have unofficially ended in MBU 1. Summary: Rei, James, and Shin give up the search for Saito. Instead, they watch as James prepares to pilot his new Veritech mech. Unfortunately, one of the thermonuclear engines malfunctions mid-flight, causing much of the machine to explode. Rei and Shin believe James must have died in such an explosion, but in truth, James somehow survives, albeit with serious injuries. He wakes up in the orphanage run by Reverend Malchoi on the Marshall Islands. Saito has finally completed his Gundam AER after more than a year.
