Project: Heaven or Hell!
So, this really stupid idea spawned as a result of this little semi-friendly rivalry I've started up with Ryo.
I'm going to assume that you all know what a champion is, and I don't mean the guy who's holding the WWE/World Heavyweight title. The definition of champion to which I refer is "a person who fights for or defends any person or cause" What I'm proposing is that we of the Motoko brigade hold a battle tournament in order to determine just whom among us is the most powerful, and that dominant warrior will earn the title (and accompanying bragging rights) of Motoko's personal champion. So, I shall be the first to place myself as a contender within this contest. I, Nakakami Seno, intend to fulfill my destiny and take my place at Motoko's side. To all those who would oppose me: Come hither, and get thy ass beat! Disclaimer: This particular thread is solely for the setup, discussion, and issuance of challenges for the tournament. If it is accepted, I'll start another thread to hold the tournament itself in.

Hmm... First, I'd like to remind that there are other factors that determine the degree of "Who likes Motoko more"... I usually think that's what determines 'claim' to a character...
Length of time of liking the character, loyalty to the character... Then there's other factors... like Seniority on the forums that you're currently trying to lie claims on. =P Buuuut... In the end, it's just a character... And since there's a vast world reading the one series WITH that character... Nobody can truely be greedy and completly claim for themselves... But, if it's an RP Tourney, I'm game. ^_~

Jeeze, I make one little suggestion to encourage some activity and to clearly define our most powerful warrior in the event of more brigade warfare, and it's misconstrued as a power grab.
This, incidentally, is why I keep such ideas to myself and never put anything to them.

A tournament's not a tournament with only two competitors. But I can't exactly let it be open to people outside the brigade.

I was afraid of that. Either way, epic-scale is guaranteed. I came up with a couple ground rules, but I think I forgot one of them in the intervening time...
1. Matches are not to the death. They last until one combatant yields or submits to the other. This is to prevent the loss of useful warriors to the Motoko brigade. Though, with the prize at stake... 2. For obvious reasons, the tournament will be open to members of the Motoko brigade only. I think I had another one but I don't remember it.

Heh, if you're going to call this round one of the Heaven or Hell tournament, then a shame. I hadn't wanted to face Ryo until a later round. More epic. I'm all about crowd-pleasing.

A sort of preliminary? To determine the 'reigning' champion before we hold another Heaven or Hell somewhere down the line? Heh. Not a bad idea. It doesn't bother me either way. I was just stating how I'd envisioned it, yeah?

It seems that Z made that decision for us. I'm game for calling our little duel the prize match.
EDIT: Like I said, we can always hold another one later, but there'd actually be an existing champion to topple, rather than a prize to grab.
