Red Hot Chili Peppers
Okay, in the almost-year that I have been here, I have not seen ONE reference to one of the best bands on the Earth!
So, I'm making this thread to share the love and to ask what ya'll think about a great, great band in RHCP. Yes! the Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of my favorite bands! Been listening to these guys since the early 90's! Although I can't say i was a fan of the Dave Navarro era
 . Oh yeah, all those songs are AWESOME!! (Although the Otherside video gives me the creepers
 ).But yeah, without Frusciante, the Peppers were almost nothing. That album did produce one good song though: YouTube - Red Hot Chili Peppers - My Friends If I had to pick a favorite member, I would either say Chad Smith (the drummer), or Flea (the bassist).

I used to like "Otherside" (2000) (both the song and the spooky video) and "By the Way" (2002), both of which got a lot of airplay over here. Some other good hits over the years too, although RHCP stand too close to regular mainstream rock to really catch my attention.
Heck, the "Otherside" vid is supposed to give you some creepers - drug misuse is no joke. Also, the rapcore act Crazy Town had strong RHCP connections. Their funky love song "Butterfly" (2001) (see also Youtube) was largely based on RHCP material.

The song Butterfly is based on a guitar riff in Pretty Litte Ditty, which is from the Peppers' 1989 album Mother's Milk. Here it is:

hmm, i gotta say the ones i listen to most are around the world, scar tissue, otherside, californication, aeroplane, dani california, snow, and this one my friend sent me that i never found on any cd called rollercoaster of love. gotta love that funk.

Great that todays kiddies are getting into good music, not like most horrible new stuff there is today out there like the emo bands and bubblegum pop
. Although its kinda sad if they get into it thanks to stuff like the trendy rockband or guitar hero
