Right, so, in this chapter, some shiznite went down. THE THRILLING CONCLUSION OF ONE'S LOVE FOR... a type of squid? At the start, Chiu-chan's Confession Sense begins to tingle, telling her that Izumi is about to confess to NAGI. Grabbing onto the ledge of the window with her small stature, cursing at the fact that Negi played too good of an act, and now Izumi is destined for a horrible, barren wasteland, she clammors to set things straight. No, Izumi! DON'T DO IT!!!

Izumi starts to hestitate, and even though she tries to take that one step forward, she starts realizing that NAGI probably only took her out as a a request from Kugimiya to cheer Ako up. There's definitely a high posibility. So what finally comes out of her mouth?

Squid. She asks him if she likes some kind of squid. Brilliant dictionary work at its finest. NAGI the Oblivious responds accordingly, and begins talking about the types of Japanese food that he likes (doesn't he look like a kid?), like yakitori and negi. But yeah, crisis averted (I guess?) Well, Ako still thinks she failed miserably. Still, wonderous boy NAGI asks for her to play her base guitar for him. Of course, Ako is all for that. (SHE ALSO NOTES THE BANDAGE!!)

So on the way back, wondering about how she played so well in front of NAGI, she tries to come up with some kind of topic. She brings up work, and then realizes that NAGI's probably a student at a university. NAGI says that he is in fact a student at an English school, but in the future he'd like to be part of the NGO and help people throughout the world. How noble, ne? Izumi asks if NGO involves things like earthquake relief volunteers and the like, and NAGI says they do various things. That's why he's studying so hard right now.

Of course, Ako is so amazed at his resolve, asking him how old he is. When he says 16 ("I wonder"), she's all "holy crap, we're almost the same age and you've got such lofty goals", and the like. NAGI says that his- er, rather his cousin Negi's father was part of the NGO. He claims that since he admires the man so much, he aims to be like him. Though Ako doesn't fully understand it all, she's very impressed. When she asks if he's talking about the so called MISSING FATHER, NAGI changes the subject. (Oh ho ho!)

Ako then begins to think about Negi, and how she only just found out about his father. She says that somebody like him, who's so strong and courageous is really the main star of the story, like in a manga or tale. She, however, has nothing against her, no obstacle she needs to face like missing parents and being all alone. She's just another secondary character, nowhere near as good as Negi or NAGI.

After that schpiel, however, NAGI pops her one, and then tells her that Negi would say something like "In my class, there are no worthless people". That's sweet, really, it is. He says he thinks that Ako is really a star role. Chiu-chan looks on with a grin, and despite all this wonderul bright smiles, wide-eyes affection, DANGER STRIKES! Past-Negi and Kugimiya come upon the scene, as Keitarou and co. desperately try to stop them. What results is...

Well, to quote Marty McFly, "This is HEAVY, Doc". So yeah, after Negi goes all "crap, I forgot" and runs off, the whole team rushes after, throwing various complaints and threats at each other (don't you just love bickering with your past self?)

So we're lead to believee that she bought some crap about fooling around with disguises, and everything's hunky-dory (and why the hell shouldn't it be?). Keitarou apologizes to Kugi, and she apologizes back, saying that she really thought he was an idiot and a brat before (oh, REALLY?) Negi imparts a few words of courage to Ako, who begins remembering her dream. Could it have been real? No, it couldn't possibly... (THE BANDAGE AGAIN!!!)

On comes the performance from "Dekopin Rocket", and a smashing success it is. However, Kugi, being the devil she is, tells Ako that since she wasn't able to say something before, now she can say it in front of the whole audience. Stuttering, Ako goes out in front of the crowd and says that she has something she wants to say to the person who helped her out so much that day...

"I... li... li..." OH CRAP. MANA'S GONNA SET HER UP THE BOMB.

"I HAD SO MUCH FUN TODAY! PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS!!"

NAGI: "Eh... me?"

Alright, so, here's what happened in Mahou Shoujo Yue this week: Yue, having jumped, and making everybody go "OH SHI-", pulled out a grappling hook and latched on BATMAN STYLE. Points go to all who called it.

So Yue starts to slide down and..... (please refer to first panel of page 3) "YOUR ATTEMPT AT BADASSERY HAS FAILED". So Haruna and Kamo get all worried hearing the splash and then rush off, Haruna bitching about the fact that Yue's doing idiotic things and commenting on the fact that her conversation totally backfired (that's what you get, woman).

FLASHBACK TIME~~!

So Yue recounts that she had just lost her grandfather, and wanted nothing to do with the trifling matters of the world. You can tell, because she acts like a TOTAL bitch to Haruna and Nodoka, essentially giving them the cold shoulder when they try to talk to her. So when she leaves, she meets up with the fabulous three (NodoKonoParu), calling them "the annoying one" (Paru), "the slow one" (Nodo), and "the spontaneous one" (Kono). So then they try to get her to walk home with them and ask her if she thinks they're so bad. Eventually Nodoka is all like "I don't think people who like books are bad people", and Yue's all "touche".

So she recounts how they taught her that not everything in the world is so bad (aww, how sweet), and then thinks about Negi-sensei, and how Nodoka managed to fulfill the wishes in her heart, yet Yue... did those HORRIBLE things (Nodoka: OMG you wanted to steal my boyfriend, die!)

Nodoka, having her magic book of "TELL ALL", heard everything. Damn, I want one of those books; I could so totally fu-- ... let's continue.

So, Nodoka knows that Yue knows that Negi doesn't have anybody he likes, and she knows that Yue really does like Sensei-boy. At the same time, Haru is just learning about this encounter Yue had with Negi on the boat (thanks to "Kamo-sensei" XD) and finds out from Negi and Konoka that Nodoka rushed off on her own. (GASP, SURPRISE!)

Of course, Yue realizes, Nodoka had her magic book. She says that she's not a good friend, and Nodoka responds that she doesn't think so, but she wanted to hear the words from Yue's own mouth. So she asks once more "Do you like sensei?" And FINALLY, we get a straight answer out of that HUGE HAIR BRAID girl. Yes, she does (DUH). Then she starts going into RAPID FIRE mode on the guilty plea thing, and starts saying "I'm so sorry, I didn't expect this to happen, I wanted to cheer you on, I know I'm a horrible person, there's no reason for this...", Nodoka constantly trying to get her to calm down.

Then Yue says that Nodoka should just forget everything from today, and that if it'll be better for Yue to just disappear, she will, and Nodoka will never be bothered again. And then Nodoka does the thing that, I think, wins her like 1000 points for this chapter. She BITCH SLAPS that girl (screaming "BAKA", of course). Yue starts realizing that she was right. Nodoka hates her. There's nothing she can do about it. It's as expected and... wait, huh?

Nodoka says that Yue's wrong and shouldn't say such thing. If it's Yue who likes Sensei, well... then it's not a problem.

"Yeah, it's a lie. It is kind of painful, and difficult..."

However, if it means not having a devestating conflict with Yue like in those Love Triangle Stories, then it's nothing she can't handle. Yue objects, saying that she still did such horrible things. Nodoka responds that it was her who did the horrible thing, looking into her heart like that. And even though she knows that Negi doesn't have anybody he likes, they should still both try their best. So... Yue is still her friend.

... (pauses while tears are swept away)

Of course, you can't cry it out for long, because Haruna comes in and KICKS THAT GIRL INTO THE NEXT CHAPTER. Damn, that is a powerful boot. Did you see that?! Gorgeous.

So, yeah. Haruna comes in and mildly scolds her for jumping off the cliff and worrying everybody like that. But all's well. SO WELL, in fact, that it's PACTIO TIME!!! Oh yeah, Yue's forced into accepting, even though she TOTALLY doesn't want to. Negi starts objecting because he thinks its too sudden, but Konoka tries to convince him by stating he was the one who mentioned it. So they get thrown in there. Of course, they're still objecting, Yue telling Haruna to stop being so selfish. Haruna responds by saying there's nothing to be misconstrued from kissing a 10 year old boy. Unless, of course, Yue WANTS it to be misconstrued (rawr).

"But, but... "

No buts for you, kids! BAM!! Gotta love that expression on Yue's face. I chortled heartily.

"YES~! YUE CARD GET!!" Totally awesome, right? And then the two kids start apologizing. Is it just me, or does Yue still look like she's gonna kill herself?

Of course, Haruna beckons for Negi, saying that its HER turn next.

"HEY~ Why are you running away!!"
"But, Haruna-san's eyes are scary!!"
"Konoka, Yue! Catch him!"

Ahahaha... wonderfully touching and hilarious and full of mild yuri. Happiness exudes from our very cores.

We start off in the ruins below the sewer, with Misora talking about the .robots that she saw. However, when they get there, the place seems to be empty. Despite saying that tons of huge robots were in the vicinity not long before, she can't really back it up. And, of course, since she can't remember it too clearly, nobody seems to believe her (would you believe a girl dressed in a cross between a gym uniform and a habit?). Takamichi even asks her to recount the tale, but she's just not that reliable with the lack of information she has. Poor Misora

Takamichi then turns to Asuna, telling her that it's unfortunate, but since the 3rd day will be incredibly busy, he'll have to break his promise to meet with her. (Sad~) HOWEVER, if she has no plans now, how would she like to spend some time together going around the festival?

SHOCK!!

(On a side note, isn't that costume just BITCHIN'? I want an outfit like that... ;_; Granted, first I wish I had curves like that. Damn the limits of the male body. *sigh*)

So Negi and Konoka hear about Asuna's date from Kamo and rush off to find out what's going on. Meanwhile, now back in her regular clothes (oh, how do they afford so many costume changes?), Takane sees fit to bitch Asuna out about the "sexually explicit relations of a student and teacher" being forbidden. Misora, of course, is thrilled with the idea, asking Asuna if she's ready for her big date. Asuna's nervous, worrying about her clothes and such, Misora asking about her hair (and bells).

Mei begins to think that its awesome that Asuna gets to go on a date with with Takamichi. Takane, of course, doesn't see it this way. There's more important things to be done, isn't there? To waste time with trifle love interests is a waste of time. They need to keep the order between the real world and the magic world, becoming selfless and persesrving duty.

Well, that's just the official stance, but...

NO! Apparently it is not just an official stance. Takane knows that she must do everything in her power to keep this balance. Thus is the reason why they are there doing everything they can to gain knowledge. So that, one day, she can become a powerful Magister Magi like the THOUSAND MASTER!!

(... give it a rest, you crazy broad. sleep.gif;; )

"Eeh! Takane-san is also aiming to be a Magister Magi?"

Oh crap! It's the little kid who always seems to pop in at the most opportune moments with the most darling of costumes. Can't we just keep him as a pet? He's so cuuuuuuuuuuute.

Negi is surprised that that Takane knows of his father. According to her, there's not a mage in the world that doesn't know the Thousand Master's name. But just because Negi's his kid doesn't mean she's gonna give him any special treatment!

Asuna sees it appropriate to push that bitch aside and have her own talk with Negi (w00t!), asking him if he's alright, since she heard about him fighting against Colonel and the man using magic to become Negi's father. Negi assures her that he's already fine and thanks her. But... wait, he's already okay, yet she only just heard about it...? !! HOLY CRAP! The brat used the watch! How many times?

"Um, two times... or was it three?"

Asuna is all pissed about the fact that they didn't tell her, and then asks Konoka what happened. She responds by saying they could only imagine such troubling things in the world. The hell does that mean? Kamo says that they can spare the details later, and silently suggets to Negi that they keep quiet about the Yue Pactio thing for now.

Then we turn to Asuna's date once again (aww, she's blushing). Negi says that he'll cheer in secret for her, which she directly opposes. Mei then starts talking about how it's amazing that she'll get to date Takamichi...

What does she mean by that? Well, Takamichi fought alongside Nagi in the Clone Wa--er, Great War. He's kind of a celebrity, you know? If he were to return to his own country, he'd be famed. Negi is confused, asking if his father and companions are so popular. Takane is suprised that being the man's son, he never knew.

The Thousand Master and his comanions were a famous party within the Eternal Wind (AAA) [not too sure on the name, but it seems to be Aralbra]. Their feats gained them recognition throughout all the mage world. They were heroes. At that time, boys and girls wanted to be just like them. Hot damn does Negi have a lot to live up to.

So, Asuna going on a date with him is like, SO TOTALLY AWESOME (I'll agree with Takane here and say Mei is indeed a fad whore). But hey, is all this true, Asuna wonders. Of course! Takamichi was on the front pages of newspapers! (And then Asuna gets all crazy insane "I want that!" on her).

So what is the Magic Country like? Negi's never been, but he's heard it's an awesome place filled with Magicians. Takane says that she lived there when she was young, and it was indeed a great place, with the Magister Magi sitting on the hight summits. Konoka wonders if Takimichi is a Magister Magi.

Takamichi can't use magic, so he doesn't fit the qualifications for being a Magister Magi.

SAY WHA?!

Still, because of his work he's still given a lot of praise (even though Asuna thinks it's still descrimination). Apparently, even now, Takamichi still does work for the AAA. He's always getting himself into all kinds of dangerous situations, thus why he takes time off from school a lot. The truth of the matter is that in the people within the country rank Takamichi's battle capability, suprirsingly, as AA+!! (Who ranks AAA+, you ask? Actually, it's Ronald McDonald.)

Apparently, with power like that, one person could decimate an entire secret evil organization. DAMN. It's kind of hard to believe, but Mei assures them that it's all true. Asuna then starts to realize that she never knew that about Takamichi. She... she really doesn't know anything about him...

You know, for all that stuff, you would think Takamichi gets attack by adoring women all the time, Mei says. Asuna questions this, getting the repsonse that back in the Country, Takamichi is known as pretty sexy. Asuna says that she's never really heard of Takamichi dating anybody, though. According to Mei, he hasn't really had his heart set on anybody.

But what about Shizuna-sensei?! Mei says she hasn't heard rumor of Takamichi being with her. Negi says that Asuna should take care on her date with Takamichi. Perhaps he's really set his heart on Asuna-san! (Oh kid, how you dream...) So she smacks him for that after getting all nervous, and then Konoka tells her there's not much time, so she needs to change. The others will will be cheering for her (even though she clearly forbids them getting involved).


And there you have it! A relatively simple chapter to end book 14. And oh, so many unanswered questions left! Whatever shall we do?! Hopefully we'll find out next time!
