Second Negima anime. - Love Hina & Negima Forums

is it just me or is this second series just weak?
i mean i understand restarting the series since the first one was ended in a way which it woulda been hard to continue, but i was expecting them to cover the origianl storyline to some extent...

when i watch an episode it seems very unfocused rather they dont seem to stay on one scene for more then a min... and all the characters seem way too flakey at least in my opinion as compared to thier manga counterparts.

maybe its just because i was a fan of the manga first? or have those of you who started on the newer anime feel its a good series, or better yet is there any one who reads the manga here who started with this series first?

im just wondering cause ive been trying to give this series a chance but every time i watch an ep i feel like some one should be paying me for the time ive wasted... same feeling i get from watching naruto filler.

yeah i agree. that is assuming you are on about negima!? . it seems to be a little hmm off compared to the manga and even mahou sensei. and the subbing compay has stopped subbing past 14 for some reason -_- but mahou sensei ends on sort of a cliff hanger it seems.

The second negima anime was suppose to be independent from the first season and the manga.
So the directors has almost free reign over how the anime will be. Luckily or unluckily, depending who you ask, the new animator who pick up the license were the same people who produce Pani Poni Dash. They decided to focus more on the gag portion of the series instead of making adaptation of the manga, which according to viewer rating based on the first season, as it was a bad idea.

My advice is, if you like the anime than by all mean please continue. else it is best to stick with the manga.

i kinda like the artwork, a lil. but the storyline sucks. but then again the gratious cleavage shots and skin peeks makes it all up.

I cant say its a bad anime neither a good. The things that save Nagime!? would be the music or if u try focus on this is a new anime and do not think about the mange or the orignal Anime

I like the second one, okay the first one is better.

I actually love the new series. I try and see it as Negima in a parallel universe or something! At the very least the artwork is beautiful, even better than the manga in some places. And although the new storyline is a little weak, I enjoy the comedy. It has a different feel to the manga and other anime. Maybe it's just me and my love of random humour!

Both Animes are good

The characters look better in the Remake than the original but both are good

the story in the remake might be a bit random at times but its still a good anime...

the second one has quite a few comedy aspects i have to say. eg. Asuna's hair reflects her mood or just how long she wants to stay in bed, and also strangling chamo-kun lol.

It isnt so much strangling more just attacking him for saying something that annoys her...
The only bad thing I could say at the moment is that if this only lasts as long as the original it just would be too short...

the anime was a little disoriented but the manga has true negima sould in it so check that out instead

yeah attacking him. but negima!? is only subbed up to 14 it was actually getting a bit of a storyline then they stopped subbing it by the sounds of things on commets.

According to Wikipedia currently its going up to 26 and Japan are up to about 20-22

I am in hope for another series to be added (26 isnt fair for this)

Just to clear things up for any confused individuals, this is not a remake of Negima. It's a retelling in which is gets its own manga too. It is based off of the manga by Akamatsu but it not really meant to be the same story... and I don't like it.

Well it might lose a bit of quality knowing that akamatsu has not wrote the stories, but the stories are pretty good...

I wonder what Akamatsu think of the story's in the remakje

The story in this series actually seems to be moving pretty fast. Almost too fast to be honest. Maybe they're trying to avoid the mistake Xebec made when they realised they needed an ending and only had three episodes in which to set it up. I certainly hope that the ending of the new series is stronger than the ridiculously flimsy closing chapter of Xebec's anime.
