True. Eva even has an English (well, Scottish) name for god's sake! Also, Chachamaru shouldn't be normal.

For the rest - well, it's only anime where people actually have silly coloured hair. Japan isn't full of girls with blue, purple, bright red, grey and green hair, you know.

Frankly, I get a bad feeling about this, too.

It is planned to be airing this Autumn (Fall for you american fans). As for who will sub it, we will find out nearer the time if anyone wants it of course. :hkss:

I'm pretty certain it'll get picked up. It is a popular series, even if it sharply divides fans.

All the actresses look cute (especially Sakurako's), but I'm worried as well. If they all do have black hair for the series, won't it be a little hard to tell everyone apart?

This is so doomed.....i cant express how much this is going to fail miserably. The only two who MILDLY represent the characters (for me personally) were Setsuna and Nodoka. Goes to show that Negima is just not possible to make into a live action...which was a stupid idea to begin with.

It probably would of worked if they had put some effort into the looks of the characters and not be lazy arsed and cast a load of people with black hair who dont match who they are playing...

Agreed, all of them have black/brown hair... when i saw Sayo and Eva the first thing that came to my mind was "oh my god no, just no". It simply wont work

Generally it seems the most important characters looked the least like their manga counterparts. I think this means they're chosen for their acting ability instead of their resemblance to the real characters. Probably the worst is Asuna. So she must be a damn fine actress !?

yea what Xan said...if Chacha is getting her original hair - why not everyone else cause now it looks kinda...off with only one character.Well from this piccy what i said before is pretty much backed up - only about 5-6 girls look their character spot on...

Everyone should have their original... ... that's an improvement... or they should give them something that will still tell them apart. Ex:

Setsuna carrying Nodachi
Asuna with bells
Mana with guns
Kaede should duplicate in the mountains...
