Just out of curiousity, I was wondering, just how fast of a download connection does the average user of these forums have?
Me personally: 3mbps download and 256kbps upload
That's about 375 KB per second download and about 30 KB per second upload
I use Charter Cable.

Ah, good good. I'm pretty sure cable won't make you sign a contract. Bah. Contracts are for cell phones, and even those are crappy.

Cable here, 5,1mbit d/l (around 600Kb/s) and i get around 90-100Kb/s upload. I'm quite happy with the speed, problem is i have a monthly cap on Upload/Download, if i bust, i pay extra

Doc what you need to do is clean up your computer....once spyware gets into your registry area it plants some nasty registry stuff in there basically making it so the damn spyware comes back as soon as you connect to the internet

everyday I send an email to the ppl who make the spyware or product thats being spywared to my computer (it dont anymore but I do it for fun SPAMMING THEM is fun)
basically i have their emails saved...when sending an email I just click who i wanna send to and boom email sent everyday complaining about their spyware...I also call and complain if they have numbers........

if they have an auto emailer I setup my auto emailer to mail back lol....so far about 60 ppl i know are doing this to the site....I actually got a complaint from them hahahaha

anyways to solve your problem get "hijackthis"..............install it restart your computer run the program SCAN ur system with program....and check what programs are running BEHIND the scences....if its a program you dont reconize do some research...........or just post your log at www.thetechguys.com and they will help you out I dunno who they are but they saved me from 2 trojans and about 50mbs of spyware...cheers

Thanks uh...Sn0w. *sigh* it'll be the third time i restore my computer with the entire HD wiped. but i know now if i investe in a firewall, for now my comuter will be somewhat safe, until i reinstall windows. Funny thing is the pop-up that started the downfall of my computer this time was when i was up loading this site. got right through my pop-up blocker, which is aol and that doesn't suprise me. thanks again.
