PS3 vs. Wii vs. xbox360

Well of course the Wii is gonna sell more, its cheaper than the damn PS3!! But im stating, for the people who voted for the Wii, why?

What makes the Wii better? Is it price? or something else?

after doing some research i discovered that the winner was wii. in fact the top selling systems from march to may are: wii, ps2, ps3, and then finally 360. sorry to the rest but the wii won. i'll probably buy a ps3 and 360 soon.

In all honesty charts dont mean ANYTHING. the PS3 is a way more expencive machine than any other but with a reason which is very simple : Its the first TRUE real next gen console but people keep denying it over and over even though they know its the naked truth. Now dont get me wrong, i dont hate 360 or wii in any sense but ps3 is technically superior hence the price is bigger making it less affordable for alot of people. BUT give it until the end of this year...so that the prices can drop, then everyone can go and look at some charts and statistics etc. etc. and then tell me who is going to be on top

So what makes Ps3 so next gen then? You mean those controllers it has, or the size of it, or do you mean its graphics card?
I'm not seeing much next gen goodness right now if you ask me. I think we can all say the same about most of the consoles right now. Why get a ps3? no games. Xbox has it most stable right now. Wii is most bought because people want to mess around with the motion sensor function and it's not super expensive.

You forget that PS3 hasn't been on sale for that long time in the U.S and Europe, as Xbox360 and Wii have! Xbox360 got released almost a year before PS3. They had trouble manufacturing the BluRay lasers, so they could only finish like 100.000 PS3s on the releasedate.

Also, remember that PS3 was released AFTER Christmas, thus they've had trouble selling that many Playstations as they usual do, when a next-gen Playstation is released.

In my oppinion you can't compare Wii, Xbox360 and PS3 to eachother. Wii is NOT a next-gen console, and it's primarely focused on the younger customers. Next-gen consoles are Xbox360 and PS3 due to the extreme powers they have. PS3 is the one with the greatest powers due to it's cell CPU with 6 cores on 3,2GHZ. (3,2GHZ x 6 = 19,2GHZ).

The Wii is much more interective and focused on attracted every group possible from young to old. and the steady flow f high quality games on the years release lists seems rather good.

And yes true the PS3 and 360 are great consoles i'll admit that
BUT they need a good game before they become REALLY popular.
So those won't really do HALF as well until alo 3 and Metal Gear SOlid 4 boost them slightly

the Ps3 has no other good games planned for release, and the 360 ******s up the best of the original Xbox games like KOTOR. The Wii however isn't a next gen console to be sure, it's more definatly more like a part of your house

That you can look up, its on every major gaming site on the net. Atm 360 has it the most stable yes i definatly agree, all im saying is that PS3 has a bigger potencial than any other console. Also i agree that PS3 has no "proper" games BUT as i said again look around when the winter holidays come, also there are alot of projects up for release (MGS4, New Ratchet etc) - its just a matter of time before PS3 takes its old style games in a new light. And as someone mentioned dont forget that PS3 was on sale alot later than the other two, which already had an advance in their sale

be funny to note that wii is slipping in Australia, i mean the games are slowly being released, but the retailers are doing very little in the way of promotion and it is being treated exactly as the gamecube was after being released. For those that don't know, mainstream sales of anything gamecube basically halted about 2 years ago in Australia.

PS 3 has most game function potential, I think Wii has most game play potential. However by default the Wii is a next gen console because it is the newest Nintendo console released in this series of consoles. I don't need someone giving me some made of specifications of what they think is required to be a next gen. They are all next gen because they come after their previous ones. However I would see going for major graphics to be a not so wise choice, because the computer basically has that. Sure PS3 may be awesome in graphics now, but what about 3 years from now?

Also don't you guys get the feeling that there's not a whole lot of reason to super expand the graphics anymore. Getting to the point that they are they're looking beyond realistic. Most choose the mistake of doing that then ignoring the environment. Maybe they should all start looking into making longer games with more replay value.

In 3 years, PS3 will have even awesommer graphics. As things are right now, developers are only using about 20% of its power. It's because the developers just can't make games that covers 100% of the overall powers of the PS3 yet!
Take a look on the PC game called: "Crysis". That's how great graphics will be in about a year (or more) on the PS3.
But because the PS3 is much more powerfull than a high-end computer today, the graphics will very likely get even better, than the PC game crysis in a few years.

Actually, the next generation of Killzone, almost has that great graphics as crysis.

Having tried all 3, I'd say 360 on quality and enjoyment alone. PS3 will likely have the better games in future, though. The Wii is a cheap novelty and nothing more.

Well, Ive played the 360 and Wii for some good months now, and lately the wii has been collecting dust. So yeah, for me, the 360 is the best one.

WII is definatly outselling PS3 but with the new price drop then that will change soon, and today is E3 so be prepared to buy a PS3 fellas
