What Computer Operating System Do You Use?
What the title says.... ^_^

I dual boot windows XP (only used for playing games) and Ubuntu 7.04 Linux on my main PC, and am in the process of installing Xubuntu on my laptop as the only OS, due to a bit of a screw up by me in partitioning the hard disk, which resulted in me sort of accidentlly wiping it.......

i use Windows XP, im having to swap my c: drive and d: drive around if i burn all my files onto some disks what will i do about my operating system? if anyone can help PM me or something.

this is multiple choice on purpose, yes? I'm just checking, because people often make this mistake

I'm a Win man, mostly the office runs on XP and Server 2000/3, so I have to be good at that stuff... or at least, clever enough to get by

I've used other systems though... Apple not so much, because I don't have that kind of money Linux I need to delve into a bit more, though I do know a little

I mostly use XP. But my XP's motherboard broke... =/

So, right now, I am using a Windows 98 PC with a 500 mhz processor. It also is a dual boot with XP, except I can't find an XP driver for my modem, meaning my XP can't connect to the internet...


I also see that Keiranto is an Ubuntu user. I myself have experience with KUbuntu. I have a CD, but I'm too damned lazy to install it... =/

I use Windows XP, since most programs I use can only be used with it - I do plan to somehow splice my computer so it can also use Linux sometime in the future, though. Just as well I have plenty of anti-spyware, anti-virus and a firewall to hand, since Microsoft is a target for most malware.
I don't know much about Vista right now, but I'll only switch to it if it doesn't make any of my current software obsolete. Backwards-compatibility is a must
