´Silæs is surrounded by a spectacular aura
Gladiator of course... Even though hollywood screwed up both movies, Joaquin Phoenix makes sure Gladiator is the bomb!

wålf-kun has much to be proud of
Gladiator! I agree with Silas both movies being way too American to my taste, but Gladiator's way, way WAY better than Braveheart!

I just hope you don't think that persians were mutants and that they used rhinos. And I hope you don't believe that Xerxes was a drag queen.

Obs. And I hope u don't believe that Spartans talked about democracy and free slaves (because they had helots, which were slaves).

Adieu!!

EDIT!!!

And I hope you see 300 as a fantasy movie.

I liked Gladiator a lot more, had a more touching story that made me tear the first time I saw that movie.

Braveheart is a fantastic historical story, i think it was played very well by Gibson, gladiator was too comercialised for me...

We should include Troy, Alexander and 300 in this poll, to have the ultimate shoddy historical movie poll.

Ben Hur despite its age is actually rather good, and should not be grouped with these films.

I was thinking also of the old 'war' movies, and the most recent one, The Great Raid.

Braveheart definitely. Epic movie. Gladiator was way overrated, at least in my view
