Spencer answered her. "Well, there IS a town, but it might be a risky business going there. But we can get weapons and such if we do go. I must warn you though, I don't know what condition it may be in...But follow me anyway. I will help yo out on your journey. After, all I'm good for is dealing the hand of death..." He said, walking off into the corn feild. He kept talking as he went on in, but Sakurazaki could not hear the last part. He had just told her that he was on her side, and so he went into the feild to take her to the town of Marrow.

Sakurazaki walked silently along. Adding occasional questions and things of that nature. She watched as the sun started to dip slowly downwards on the horizon. The ears of corn seeming to be on fire as the sun's last rays hit the golden grain. She reached under her cloak and retrieved a small waterskin, filling it with water using the words Thor si mol shor sharaes The water felt cool and sweet when she brought the skin to her lips. After capping it, she tossed it to Lord Spencer.

Spencer caught the waterskin, but did not uncap it. He mearly looked at it, and then said. "You know, there was once a time where I would travel and with my friends and we would go days without water. I remember that."He said, looking at the waterskin, but not really seeing it. Then he replyed as he tossed it back," I need very little. It is a skill you gain when left for dead in a barren wasteland for nine years. You find out how to survive....Don't use too much magic here though, or else we may attract unwanted company." He said, and then added. "We are almost here." The corn feilds opened up to a swamp land, like a border of a country, it was so defined that you might think that the corn was planted that way on purpose. One minute they were in a solid corn feild and the next they were dodgeing mud pits and a swamp.
By this time Sakurazaki's white attire was very much changed.
they continued on, and at last the town, or whatever it was, came into view. There were no more than fifty shacks built up on poles to keep the bottoms of the homes out of the water. It looked like the town had three diffrent levels, and was very closed in to itself. No people could be seen in the growing dusk.
(Now, I'll let you take us in. )

"That's odd. I can't sense anyone outside. I'm not too sure about inside though." Her eyes flicked around. "The town....it's interesting." She stepped up some stair to one of the huts. She knocked on the door. When no answer came she turned to Lord Spencer. "Perhaps they are asleep. Or something of that nature. But we need shelter for a while."

"Shelter huh? Well, I guess we can do that." He said, takeing a string of fish off a rack next to him. They were in some form of a mini market place. "Well, we will just have to get some shelter. Baitnewgraa!" He said, and with his hand resting gently on the door he emited a burst of energy which blew the door off it's hinges. It was dark inside the small hut, but Spencer could see fine. He walked into the dark, and in a moment he lit a small lamp on a table. Before he could put it back, Sakurazaki saw a small silver lighter. With the light she could see that the room was small, with a small round table on which a small oil lamp was sitting on. There was a cabnet near one wall, and a cot of sorts on another. Except for those things, the room was otherwise empty. Even so, it was a small room, so the light filled almost all of it. Spencer let Sakurazaki walk in before he put the unharmed door back on it's now bent hinges. With a little effort, he made it stick back on it's frame.
"Well, we have shelter now huh? I expect you can get some sleep now. But before you do I'll cut up this fish and we an cook it a bit and then eat." He said.

"Hm Isn't that stealing? And I thought we were to avoid using magic?" She raised an eyebrow in question, and settled down upon the floor, taking off her white cloak to reveal black assassin's clothes and heavy gauntlets. "Although if possible erecting wards would be useful."

Spencer replied," It may be be stealing, but I will always repay when I see the owner." He said, and then continued." As for wards, you can do whatever you want. But I have already summoned a small force of Shadow creatures to protect us tonight. Better than pig oil." He said laughing. He walked over to a fireplace and lit the coal inside with the silver lighter once again, and then looked back at Sakurazaki saying, "We can cook the fish here." He said, but his mind was not on his words. he was looking at her armor, and seeing for the first time how she looked. Whoa......

Removing her gauntlets, Sakurazaki simply said. "If you have summoned shadow creatures I think we shall be fine. I do not doubt your abilities. On her right hand was a single ring with the Unmei House Crest, a simple silver band. "You may go ahead and eat without me. I'll be eating in the morning. I'm just not too hungry right about now." She went to a corner and and turned her back to the firelight, laying down on the floor. Then she took her heavy white cloak and used it as a blanket. "I'm still a bit tired, so I will be seeing you in the morning. Good night." In a few minutes, she was asleep.

Spencer simply sat there, not even moveing. Did she really trust his power? None the less, he still sat there. He had sen her ring, the ring of the Unmei house, and then looked at his own. He stared at it, wondering how he could have accepted it from Oswell Spencer himself a long time ago. he sat there and stared at the fire, over at Sakurazaki, and then back at the fire several times. Somehow he could not go to sleep. So he summoned his only true friend. "Moshnamerrsfastil...." He said quitely, and then from the cornor of the room that was wraped in shadows. a reaper cam forward and drifted in front of him. It had a tattered cloak that covered it's entire body, and a hood that shrouded his head. Only two purple glowing eyes could be seen inside the hood. Spencer started to talk to it very quitely,"You know, I thought you had it bad, but you don't have to take care of the humans and the Spencer name. I am sorry brother, this should have been your job, not mine. I needed to be in your place. And look at me now, just the same as i was the day you sealed yourself away. I have not changed thses 500 years, except that I am only more useless. how would you handel this trouble in this world?" He said, and then listened for the rest of the night of the speech of his Shadow puppet, which talked in only a voice Kage could hear.

Sakurazaki had leaned her sword against the bed, it's sheath shined in the moonlight that spewed through a window. She slept fine for a few hours but found herself tossing and turning uncomfortably after awhile. That horrible dream had come again. The one with the fire and the screaming. The words of her lord echoed eerily in her sleep. She could see his bloodied face, with a deep cut on his forehead with blood trickling down. When it got to the part where Lord Nalos was slaughtered by a shrouded figure, she sat up, drenched in sweat. Her breathing started returning to normal. Looking out the window at the moon calmed Sakurazaki down a bit. Lord Nalos would often sneak out of the household and take her to an area where there was a lake and they would stay there and look at the stars and the moon for hours. But she could no longer do that now...

Spencer had taken no notice of Sakurazaki wakeing up, and so without him knowing of her being alert he begain to egt up. We walked over to the door, and in a few seconds he slid underneath it by turning into a shadow. then when he was on the other side he begain to walk out onto the planks of the town and he started to stroll around.

Sakurazaki found herself wandering around the room, but she made up her mind to go outside and practice her sword strokes. Taking her sword she stepped barefoot outside. There was a light breeze and the moonlight would be just enough to do some moves. She carefully slid out the blade from it's sheath, admiring its hilt. She then proceeded to practice, swinging it every which way. It was fast but very graceful. She somehow felt as ease when she did this.

the wind blew harder, and Okage stood at the top of the towns lookout tower. He could see the few of the towns actual people's homes, and knew they were still there since there was some smoke coming out of the chimneys. He sighed, and climbed back down off the tower, and begain to make his way to the place he ha come from. Then, as he turned a cornor he almost got hit by a blade but in the last second he turned to shadow and the blade went right through him.

Sakurazaki was in the middle of practicing when she heard the whooshing sound of a blade whirling at her. She swung the blade up deflecting the knife. There was a soft thud as the knife planted itself into the loamy grass. Assassin? She quickly retreated to the shadows, her eyes flicking this way and that way trying to see where the blade had come from.

Spencer had dissolved into the shadows to try and see who it was that had tried to strike him. Slowly he moved about, jumping from shadow to shadow without the slightest effort. In this form he could not be touched, but then again he could not touch either. He saw a figure in the darkness and then crept up on it slowly. when he was almost close enough, he lunged thinking,There is no way I will let Sakurazaki come to harm!. As soon as he was almost upon the figure he materialized again and then connected with it. the person was lighter than he thought, and so he and the person fell over the guard rail and landed into the watery swamo below. For a second all he knew was being wraped along with the other person in a heap of mud.
